"Advance Smiles Dentistry — Life-Changing Care I hope I can do justice to this review, because my experience at Advance Smiles Dentistry was truly amazing. As background: most of my dental issues were self-inflicted. I smoked for 30 years, and due to enormous stress I spent three-plus years grinding my teeth to death. I cracked several crowns, loosened teeth, and broke and cracked others. My teeth were on a rapid decline — the more they cracked and broke, the harder they were to brush, which only accelerated the decay by not brushing those teeth. By the time I finally worked up the courage to make an appointment, I only had a couple of whole teeth left; the rest were loose, cracked, broken shards, or missing crowns. It was absolutely awful to look at, and I was deeply self-conscious and miserable because of it. However, the team at Advance Smiles Dentistry was absolutely fantastic — very professional, yet so caring and understanding. After my initial consultation, I decided to move forward with full upper and lower implants. I was terrified, but I shouldn't have been. The team was wonderful: kind, considerate, and gentle, even though I was nervous and afraid. I can never thank them enough for turning my life around. Dr. José Metzler was excellent — he worked closely with me and my family throughout this entire journey. I'll be honest: the extractions are painful at first, as all surgeries are, but it does get better. Every visit was swift and well-managed. The staff made me feel as though nothing was more important than my dental care. The equipment is the best available, and when I felt like I was having a "dental emergency" after my initial surgery, it was handled immediately with a quick return call. Nobody ever made me feel like I was interrupting their busy schedule. A few practical tips: your Waterpik, toothbrush, and Sensodyne will quickly become your best friends. There's a bit of a learning curve, but everything is going great. Most importantly, I'm learning to smile again and talk to people without keeping my lips tightly closed to hide the disaster that was going on in my mouth. After three-plus years of misery, that's all gone now."
