Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi

"This hospital has a nice, modern building, but unfortunately that is where the quality of service ends. I booked an appointment for 8:40 AM and was not able to see the doctor until 9:40 AM. The pharmacy also had extremely long waiting times. I recently had lab work done, and by the time the results became available, I was no longer in Abu Dhabi. When I contacted the hospital, I was repeatedly told that the doctor could not send a prescription by email and that I had to come back in person. This makes little sense when a patient is traveling and the delay in receiving the lab results was not caused by the patient. Other hospitals handle these situations much more efficiently and do not require unnecessary visits. Based on previous reviews regarding the pharmacy, it appears that patients may be pressured into using the hospital's pharmacy rather than being given reasonable alternatives. What concerns me most is that my condition is getting worse while I wait. The doctor I consulted, Dr. L.A., has not returned my calls or reviewed my lab results with me. I am also unable to book a virtual consultation through the hospital's application. At this point, I am effectively being given only two options: travel back in person or go to another hospital and repeat the tests. If repeating the tests were practical, I would have chosen another hospital from the beginning. Overall, the delays, lack of communication, and absence of reasonable follow-up options have been extremely frustrating and disappointing."
