"I had an excellent experience with Dr Roig who performed a hip replacement for my mother with outstanding results. From start to finish, the care provided was exceptional. I highly recommend him"

"I saw Dr. Roig at CIMA after dislocating my kneecap, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better care. He came over from Bibliotheca to see me, was incredibly thorough during the consultation, and has been amazing ever since. What really stood out was his ongoing support—he’s been available by text to answer questions, provide reassurance, and follow up on my recovery. It’s rare to find a doctor who’s both highly professional and so genuinely attentive. I feel very lucky to have found him!"

"Dr. Roig was incredibly caring and thorough in evaluating my son's first fracture. He was direct yet calming, and we all immediately felt reassured after a not-so-great afternoon bouncing between local clinics, which resulted in a late night at CIMA's ER."

"I got a broken collarbone for Christmas, but the real gift was Dr. Roig Zamora. My fracture required surgery (my first ever) and Dr. Roig Zamora and his team made what could have been an unsettling and uncomfortable experience relatively calm and pleasant. They were excellent from start to finish. He carefully explained the medical options, responsively answered all my questions, and made me feel very confident that I was in good hands. The world would be a happier place if more doctors had his thoughtful and informative bedside manner. I naturally interacted less with the internist, Dr. Gustavo, and anesthesiologist, Dr. Boniche, but they were equally kind and responsive. While I don't suggest breaking your collarbone in the middle of your Costa Rica vacation, if for some reason you do need orthopedic surgery, Dr. Roig Zamora and Hospital CIMA have my highest recommendation. p.s. In case you don't speak Spanish: Drs. Roig Zamora, Boniche and Gustavo, as well as many of the nurses and support staff, all spoke excellent English."

"I cannot recommend Dr. Pedro Roig enough. I suffered a base of the 5th metatarsal fracture on December 24th, and he was the on-call emergency physician who treated me that afternoon. From the very beginning, his approach was pragmatic, direct, and incredibly reassuring. He explained that surgery was an option, but told me honestly: “If this were my own foot, I would not operate — I’m confident it will heal on its own.” That clarity and confidence made a huge difference for me. Seven weeks later, the fracture healed exactly as he anticipated. Three weeks after cast removal, I am walking, progressing through physiotherapy, and returning gradually to my sports — all without surgery. In what could have been a stressful and frightening experience, Dr. Pedro made me feel safe, informed, and supported. We communicated through WhatsApp as well and he was incredibly attentive not only with the medical support but with the insurance claims navigation which is for me truly going the extra mile. If you ever face a trauma situation, you can trust his judgment completely, I know I will. Thank you, Pedro — having you as my doctor was truly a gift."
