"Consulted with Dr Vernon Chow on 28/1/25. Was very pleased with the entire consultation. He truly understands my medical condition (means he read up on my records thoroughly) and listened patiently before answering my many questions that we posed to him. Caring doctors are very rare nowadays, in my opinion lah. So thank you Dr Chow & thank you CGH!"

"Date: 25 January 2026 Time: Around 9:30 Hrs I am deeply disappointed with both the communication process of the hospital and the professionalism of a doctor from the Lung/Respiratory department, Dr DANIEL, who attended to my uncle at Ward 45, Bed 32. My uncle was admitted due to breathlessness and COPD, yet no one from the hospital informed the family that he had been warded. We only found out because my uncle personally called us. Unfortunately, this is not the first time such a lack of notification has occurred. During a phone conversation with Dr DANIEL, he spoke in a rushed manner, avoided questions, and failed to communicate clearly with the family. I had to ask for his name three times, and the call was ended abruptly while I was still speaking. I did highlighted this matter to Nurse Sruthy & Staff Nurse May regarding about this matter. I raised a genuine concern regarding the plan to discharge my uncle despite him still sounding breathless during the conversation. This concern was not addressed professionally, and the explanation given attributed his condition mainly to haze, which did not reassure us given his COPD history. As a family member, I expect basic courtesy, clear communication, and respect, especially when patient safety is involved. The lack of proper notification and poor communication caused unnecessary distress and raises serious concerns about continuity of care. I sincerely hope the hospital management will review this matter seriously and improve both staff communication and professional conduct."

"I had to visit A&E unexpectedly and was very impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of the team. From admission through investigations and final review, the process was smooth and well coordinated. The nurses were patient and attentive, and the doctor took time to explain the findings clearly, which was very reassuring. I am grateful for the prompt care and the calm manner in which everything was handled. Thank you to the entire team for the excellent service."

"The majority of the reviews here are unfortunately accurate. The service at this hospital is atrocious. The staff often take no responsibility for their inability to perform their work properly. An example of this is how they had incorrectly applied a bandage, took an x tray. I understand this is a teaching institution, however, the supervisors and management have to take the onus of ensuring the subordinate and trainees are indeed performing their job properly. Furthermore, the wait time for a scheduled appointment is more than 90 minutes past the allocated time, which makes me think how inefficient the staff are at being time conscious. Management needs to have better controls to ensure the SOPs are met. These make me wonder how this hospital is promoting its recent ‘awards’. Perhaps just a PR stunt to take away from the actual negative experience from the patient stakeholders. Do not recommend this hospital at all. Please do better."
