"Sanitas's new feature: you have to make an appointment at reception, informing them that you've already made an appointment. It's an ingenious way to waste time and justify the slow reception service. There's a delay of 10 appointments when the room isn't even half full. What's next? Appointments to enter the office? To go up to each floor? The bureaucracy is definitely using up what little there is."
"When this medical center was exclusively for Colsanitas (prepaid health insurance) it was very good, but now with the inclusion of Sanitas services, the care has deteriorated; the waiting times, especially in the laboratory, are long and there is no priority for users of the prepaid health insurance; the friendliness of the service has also worsened."
"Okay, let's start from the beginning: As a prepaid plan, getting information independently is very complicated. The best way to understand what services are available is to call the national hotline. On the other hand, the service was very quick. I arrived at 6:15 PM for a priority appointment and was seen and assessed at 6:25 PM. The doctor and receptionist were very attentive. I didn't have high expectations based on previous reviews, but everything seemed to meet my needs. That said, the area is a busy business district, so service might take considerably longer at other times, but overall, it's still much more efficient, personalized, and attentive than a health insurance provider. For now, and hoping to learn more: 10/10"
"Good place, only for medicina prepagada customers."
"I am a visitor to Colombia when I found myself in need of receiving medical treatment. I know limited Spanish, but was able to navigate the health care system with only moderate difficulty, using patience and Google Translate. I am still in the middle of my treatment plan, but so far I have been very impressed by the treatments offered and the efficiency of the facility. When you arrive, there are two entrances, one for people with appointments and one for walk-ins or urgent requests. There are security personnel at both entrances, which serve as an initial triage. After being directed to the walk-in entrance, I told the receptionist my issue, and they attempted to locate the specific staff member for a consultation. I was directed to return at a time within a couple of hours, whereby I would then receive my consultation. After an initial consultation, the doctor thought I had a fracture, and scheduled me to receive an X-Ray. I had expected to have to go to another building or come back another day, but they had a Radiology facility right in the same building, and the whole thing took 20 minutes, including receiving the X-Ray. One challenge/annoyance, is that because I didn't have insurance in Colombia, every step in the process was a schedule/pay process. That is, make an appointment, receive an invoice, go to the cashier, make payment, return to the receptionist, and then continue with the appointment. But I found the entire process to be very professional, and the costs extremely manageable. My initial evaluation cost about $30 USD, and the X-Ray was $19. I would suspect that it would cost ten times as much back in the States, so absolutely no complaints there. I saw the doctor three separate times during my consultation, and have a follow up appointment in three weeks. But so far, I have only positive things to say about this facility, and would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Bogota, and in need of treatment. (I believe that they also offer travel insurance for visitors, which may be something to look into, if you plan to have an extended visit.)"
"The worst experience, more than 40 minutes just to check in, they skipped my turn and a one-hour appointment turned into a three-hour one, the worst and most stressful experience in a clinical center"
