"A disaster. I hurt my knee and came to this clinic as a foreigner, got registered, paid 800.000 pesos. Got seen in a few hours then waited for an X-ray & was told I had to do an MRI in another clinic at 10pm. That was long but ok. Then I was told I had to was going to stay as an in-patient and be brought to the other clinic by ambulance then I was told I was discharged from this clinic but would do the MRI at the other clinic at 10pm. Got to the other clinic where they said they didn’t have an appointment for me and that my case had been closed. They asked me to wait for another hour (11pm by that point) to be told nothing could be done, there was no appointment possible at that time it was too late & they couldn’t give me another time until the morning. I went home with no answer, and they didn’t give me an invoice to claim my insurance. The staff who attended was good. The admin an absolute disaster."

"Service at this hospital is some of the worst I have experienced. Had surgery scheduled and yet I sit for hours with no one to check me in or provide any status of when they will check me in. Colombians walking in get assisted in 10 minutes. I would assume it is my surgeon is delayed, but nobody has even asked for my name so it is not that. I am well past my scheduled time when posting this."

"Planned a medical check up and second opinion in this clinic and was referred to by friends. I can not emphasize enough how professional and courteous and impeccable service we received. I would recommend this to anyone. Their international office is amazing and the are attentive to all your needs and questions. In one word Amazing!"

"Clínica Las Américas Auna sede sur: ....."The worst part however, is that my father was left alone for over on hour. 87 year old men with dementia, a fracture of hip and femur, a men who doctors said is never supposed to be alone, was left unattended for over on hour by hospital personnel. No one went in the room to check on him, my father was left on a recliner, the bed in the room was unsecured, and no one could explain how he was able to crawl from the chair to the bed. I found him with no cloths on, no pillow, no blanket, shaking and in pain. I complain of course, and nothing was done." Clínica Las Américas Auna sede sur, is the last place you want to go if you want to be treated with dignity and respect. I worked for many years in quality control, and in human resources, this clinic has no idea how to address it. This clinic is nothing more than appearance, nice building no doubt but the CNA personnel has no manners, or perhaps no training. When you have a family member gravely ill, the family of course is overwhelmed. The last thing you need is arrogance by the personnel attending to your loved one. In April 2024, When a CNA was confronted for leaving tourniquet on 87 year old pt her answer was "well he did not bleed to dead, did he?" after similar disrespectful comments and experiences, My sister who was at this point a very distress daughter, stood up went to the CNA and told her in her face in a firm voice to stop. Incredible enough the CNA took advantage of the Colombian system, went out of the room saying that she was hit in the arm by the patient's daughter. I should add that my sister is a mental health therapist with years of experience and who served in US Army over 20 years. The complaint was brought up to "Human Resources Department", we were thinking there was going to be a meeting with all parties involved, a report, on investigation; However she was just removed from this clinic with out allowing the hospital personnel hearing her side of the story. The worst part however is that the patient, an 87 year old men, was left alone and unattended for over on hour. At Clinica las Americas SUR, the Patient or Family members have no support from Social Services or Human Resources. The only suggestion was to send on email to "experiencias del usuario". A social worker or human resource person who is on inexperience young lady who's answer is "i have to believe my employee", to top it of, she had the story all wrong, and there was a different version every-time we spoke. We wanted to see the director in person but of course not allowed. All personnel conspire and protect each other not the patient. I want to add there were a few very sweet and caring people, but in general this hospital is not worth all the money."
