"Worst experience in a hospital. Went with extreme pain ( can’t even breathe) and no one saw me. Waited for more than 2 hours to finally get an answer that there are so many people before me. They care less about patients and even though I told them I’m in so much pain, the dr just told me I need to wait for my turn - not even considering checking if they can give me medication while I’m waiting"

"This is a review from a foreign person, so if you’re like me and you’re not a Spanish citizen or speak Spanish I hope this was informational for you… Like all emergency rooms, the wait time is crazy, I was here several hours but staff was nice and we tried our best with Google translate. There was a doctor and another nurse that spoke some English! PLEASE note you will have to put down a 500 Euro deposit if you do not have insurance as it is a private hospital."

"I broke my clavicle on Dec 1 and after consulting w my insurance company, they recommended this hospital. The urgency team was amazing; didn't have to wait long before I got XRays and Dr. Perez-Caballer couldn't be more amazing. He explained why I needed to have surgery and helped me with the follow-up process. The surgery went well and I stayed in a private room till the next day. Communication has been fantastic and I continue to be more than pleased with the post-op care by Dr. Perez-Caballer and his team of nurses. Thank you thank you!"

"The doctors on duty in the emergency room both male and female were shockingly rude and unprofessional. A very sick young adult was told that “emergency rooms are for emergencies” and that she did not appear to be having an emergency. When I confronted them about that statement, they called her a liar, got in her face, and the female doctor even raised her voice and wagged her finger at this young woman, who was hysterically crying and clearly unwell. I accompanied the patient, who studies at a university in Madrid and doesn’t speak Spanish, and witnessed the entire incident. When I requested the doctor’s full name and medical license number to file a formal report, she refused to provide it despite this being a legal right under Spanish law (patients and companions have the right to know the identity and professional credentials of the attending medical staff, per Article 10 of Spain’s General Health Law 14/1986). She responded by saying, “You can have that, or you can have a resolution,” effectively leveraging medical care against accountability. The patient was later confirmed to have pneumonia. This level of negligence, verbal aggression, and lack of compassion is unacceptable. I will be submitting formal complaints for investigation. This was the most unprofessional and unethical conduct I have ever witnessed in an any setting."

"The doctor that has been helping me is excellent. She is a master of her profession, has studied my case, and is dotting all the i's and crossing all the t's. I feel very refreshed to know that I'm in good hands and she is doing all she can to help me get over this hurdle and back to health. It's scary you know, being ill. But the most you can hope for is someone to understand and help you start putting the pieces together. At Moncloa they are helping me do that....I have more to add to my review because my situation is very complicated and continues...therefore, now I have three doctors, and soon will have a surgeon. However, everyone has been outstanding. I honestly don't know how to express my gratitude for their hard work and understanding of the complexities of my health, and juggling everything that comes along with these complications in life. I may be sick, but I feel optimistic; I feel seen, respected, cared for, and not alone. It means more than I can eloquently express in words. All I can say is, thank you so very much."
