"yesterday I went to the emergency room because I've been dizzy for some days and the doctor just injected me with something for the dizziness and the nausea I had. He sent me home with 1 pill for the dizziness, didn't perform a blood analytic or do tests, just questions. Now I'm still feeling the same and another doctor has told me it's outrageous they didn't make some blood analytics. Now I have to go to the hospital again. For the price I paid it's amazing the poor health service I received."

"This incident took place during the night between January 6th and 7th. We arrived at 21:30 with a clear arm injury and a suspected fracture. Despite the urgency, the patient was only seen by a doctor at 02:00 - after more than four hours of waiting. The quality of care we received was unacceptable. The doctor showed no genuine interest in the patient's condition and did not propose any form of treatment. The X-ray was checked without any effort, and no additional examinations or steps were taken to properly identify the issue. Throughout the process, the doctor appeared confused and needed reminders about the painful areas, as if he could not follow his own assessment. In the end, the patient was sent home without medication, without a bandage, without treatment, and without a final medical report. Essentially, after hours of waiting, all we received was an X-ray — with no diagnosis and no medical guidance whatsoever. This raises serious concerns about the professionalism and competence of the staff on duty that night. I strongly urge the CUF administration to investigate this case, address the evident failures in patient care, and ensure that such negligence does not happen again."

"Don’t leave bad reviews usually, but can’t resist here. Being on 32 weeks of pregnancy and waited for my vaccine!!! for almost 2 hours and frequent follow ups. No proactive communication, no apologies, no any concerns from the hospital side. Then it turned out it was a system error and they scheduled a vaccine appointment to the obstetrician. The reception workers haven’t noticed it after 4 follow ups. The most awful experience ever although I got the vaccine"

"The doctors themselves are good — that’s the only reason this isn’t one star. The problem is getting to them. The clinic cannot manage its own processes. My young daughter was scheduled for a CT scan twice (Feb 28 and Apr 17). Both times we came after pre-procedure fasting. Both times the back office called to confirm the appointment (including a reminder the day before). Both times, on arrival, nobody on site knew anything and the scan was not done — first because the protocol had changed without notice, then because the anesthesiologist whose presence had been confirmed multiple times simply wasn’t arranged. No email confirmations, no way to reach the back office, no accountability, no apology. Months of waiting and a small child put through the stress twice — for nothing. The medical staff deserve better management. Patients deserve basic respect. Go elsewhere if you can."

"Thankfully we don't use the Descobertas location frequently, However when we recently had to use the services at this location, it was a bit frustrating experience for the following reasons. Note that this is a private hospital. 1. Regardless of the appointment, it took us over an hour on three consecutive visits to see the medical professional. They must use a more sophisticated technology to schedule patients. Or stop overbooking. 2. In building 2 (floor 2), (i) the configuration is strange. The long hallways do not have any chairs for patients to sit while waiting to be called on. (ii) there are no monitors in the hallway which notifies which number has been called. One has to walk to the overcrowded waiting area to take a peek. It is very challenging to stand in the crowded area when a number of patients are coughing and sick."
