My temporary tooth reconstruction (till I get my crown) is still going strong, 3 months later. I booked my flight for a Tuesday, and I was back in NY the next day. "I found myself in need of dentist in Cancun Mexico last week. A recently broken bridge left me with an infected tooth broken at the gum line. This same situation in the past landed me in the hospital for 4 days and was in risk of loosing my eye. In excruciating pain I headed into town looking for emergency service on a Saturday. I found dental 25/7 Urgencias and called the number on the sign. I was connected thru what’s app with a doctor who was in Playa Del Carmen filling in for another doctor. He said he would meet me at 1:00 at their office in Cancun. He arrived as promised and took x-ray and confirmed the infection. He was able to freeze it despite the infection and removed the tooth. He was so calm and confident he put me completely at easy and removed the tooth so quickly I couldn’t believe it was out. The tooth even came out with the infection sack attached. I had this same procedure done in Canada by a specialist and it was extremely violent. He did it with no assistance while singing along to a Beetles song. Can’t make this stuff up. $165 CAD. $17 CAD for penicillin and pain killers at the Walmart pharmacy next door. He also gave me a price on work I am to have done when I get back to Canada and it is not even believable. Can’t thank you enough Doctor. If you have ever been in this situation you will understand. If not, I hope this post will help you if you ever find yourself in a similar situation."
