"This hospital is worst, I came because I felt really sick to the ED. The nursing staff was terrible, always arguing with the doctors decisions, what is that? There was especially that young short nurse, she was the cherry on the top of the cake! She should be fired really! The doctors were really kind despite clearly feeling stressed by the job. They told me they work long hours, I mean, is this hospital too cheap to hire more doctors instead over exploiting the ones already there? They treated me well, but overall this hospital experience, would not recommend. Run away from Donauspital!"
"I came to the emergency room with a fever, quite exhausted and in a bad shape. I was 29 weeks pregnant. I waited for 2 hours, some people who came after me were ahead of me in line. After complaining twice about the waiting time, I got my turn. The doctor asked me what my temperature was, to which I said it was usually high, 38.5 or 39. No one measured my temperature once. They only did a corona test (3 F Test) and said it was negative, and that they couldn't help me other than giving me an infusion of paracetamol. When I asked for an ultrasound to see if the baby was okay, since I noticed that she had been calmer all day, they told me that they don't do ultrasounds. So, I came, waited 2 hours for nothing. And when I called the 1450 number earlier, they referred me to the Donaustadt Clinic because I was pregnant and to make sure everything was okay."
"Five stars to Nuklearmedizin department, where my father was treated. All the personnel from nurses to doctors as well as administrative personnel is nice and very attentive. They take time to explain you all the details and are very kind. Despite that he does not speak German they were supporting in all ways possible. Big thanks!"
"Hello, my name is Melanie Eros. I am 78 years old and was brought to Donaustadt Klinik with a broken hip by Rettung yesterday afternoon. The doctor who I saw at Triage / Notaufnahme told me I was going to operated today. I signed the papers accepting the operation and was brought to Room 17. I was given a bed and was told I wasn’t allowed to move my leg which I wasn’t able to do anyway because of the pain. Understandably, no eating or drinking allowed till after the operation. I have experienced serious pain throughout the night and waited for the morning. The morning came but brought no sign of preparation for the op except the pouch to drain urine applied the night before. No blood tests, no sign that an operation was forthcoming. No medical visit until today around 12 o’ clock. The doctor who came couldn’t tell me if the operation was going to happen today or when. Only when “my turn comes”. She didn’t know if a blood test was planned either. I understand their workload is heavy but that doesn’t justify no giving me any updates or information. I have been hospitalized in Austria several times and was very impressed with Austrian health care and the exemplary professionalism of the stuff. Never ever was I subjected to such treatment before."
"For kids’ emergencies, I would strongly suggest not going there. It took us 6 hours just for an arm checkup after my daughter fell in the park. We were waiting the entire time, and in the end, they did nothing. It’s very frustrating, especially with a child. Everyone there was complaining about why they even came. It’s better to choose another hospital."
