"UPDATE: It has been more than a month and no one has reached out to me (as per the review reply). Not that it will fix anything, it just shows how you deliver your commitments. At this point, please don't bother. 1 - Safety - I lost $50 from my wallet. I never carry cash and only keep specifically a $50 and a $10 bill in case of emergency and cashless is not an option. This has been my practice for years. When I reached home to fix my belongings, I discovered the $50 bill missing. I am sure of this. Called in to ask for the names of the people who had access to my room, it was not provided. Instead an apology was offered since they cannot "find the money". I was too trusting and thought I was in a safe space, my fault. For a bill of almost $40K, losing $50 may seem negligible but it is the thought that someone is taking advantage of sick people during the time of their weakness that bothers me, thinking that they may not notice if something is lost. I hope that the $50 helped the person that took it and I will let karma take care of it. 2 - Cleanliness - There was a cockroack crawling about in my room - in a hospital, of all places! 3 - Handover - I have found myself several times reiterating my schedule, what medicine I am taking, and the notes for my stay. I am not sure if you maintain charts or notes but I have been to other hospitals and by far, this is the worst experience I have encountered where the patient reminds the staff. 4 - Billing - I reminded and asked the frontdesk, I think her name was Sara about the process of LOG Top-up request. She said that by 3rd day if the initial LOG is insufficient, they will automatically request for it. The FC during admission was $28K and my final bill was $40K - no one triggered the LOG revision. Again, my fault for trusting what the staff committed. During discharge, the guy was not even sympathethic of the situation. He just kept insisting I need to cover the gap and all he could do is email my insurance provider which was pointless already at that time since I am already being discharged. Imagine if I did not have the means to cover the gap, what would have happened then? It is sad that while my doctors were amazing, the facilities are new, and the technology is state-of-the-art... It is the experiences and negligences that is causing my ratings to be this low. Disappointed is an understatement."

"This review is for the hospital and staff, not including the specialists who did my procedure. The specialists can be seen at your pick of private hospital. This is my second experience at FPH, and I can say the experience with the staff was all good. They were all very kind and helpful and I felt truelly looked after. A shout out to James (Anasthetic nurse), who was with me in the operating theatre almost for the full 7.5 hours I was in there (local anasthetic). James took care of my very need and was very attentive to helping me be comfortable during long waits and surgeries. It was a a little strange that my wife could come to my recovery room when I was admitted as I needed to wait there for sometime. Being a little anxious, it wouldve been good to have her join me. FPH never feels busy, which is good, but then at the same time makes me wonder why people are not choosing this hosptial and all wanting to go to Mount E... which from my visits there.. it is so mental and full of people. PErsonally after 2 visits to FPH, I have not had any issues and think others should give it a go."

"I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the team at Farrer Park Hospital for the excellent care and support throughout my experience. First, a special thank you to Vani, the counter staff, who was incredibly experienced, friendly, and patient. She took the time to clearly explain the differences between Medisave, corporate insurance, and personal insurance, which made the entire claims process much easier to understand and navigate. I am also grateful to the senior staff member who guided me to the day surgery suite. She was warm, attentive, and very caring—engaging me in conversation while I was waiting for admission and offering encouraging words that helped ease my anxiety before the procedure. The nursing team, including Sister Low, were outstanding. They were attentive, compassionate, and highly professional, strictly adhering to procedures to ensure everything was carried out safely and smoothly. Their dedication and attention to detail gave me great confidence that I was in good hands. A big thank you as well to Dr Lai, my anaesthetist. She was very experienced and provided clear, thorough explanations before administering the anaesthesia and pain management. Her calm and soothing tone helped me feel reassured and relaxed. I would also like to extend my gratitude to my surgeon, Dr Lee Fang Jann from URODOC. He was punctual, confident, and approachable. He took the time to ask a few key questions before the procedure, and everything proceeded smoothly. Before I knew it, I was under anaesthesia and later woke up to find the procedure successfully completed. Lastly, I want to sincerely thank the clinical staff at the clinic—two wonderful ladies who supported me from my very first visit through to the day I decided to proceed with the treatment. They were consistently patient, attentive, and thorough in answering my many questions, which gave me the confidence to move forward. On the day of the procedure, they were well-prepared, supportive, and ensured everything went seamlessly. I also appreciate the staff member who kindly accompanied me from the clinic to the hospital admission area, answering my questions along the way and making the transition smooth and stress-free. Overall, I am deeply grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and dedication shown by the entire team. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful experience so much more reassuring and comfortable."

"I stayed at Farrer Park Hospital in March 2026 for my surgery and overall had a very positive experience. After my surgery, I was sent to the ICU, and I would especially like to thank Nurse Snow, who was very caring and gentle. She always reassured and comforted me whenever she administered medication, which really helped me feel less anxious and more cared for during recovery. The ward nurses were generally very nice, accommodating, and understanding throughout my stay. The physiotherapists were also friendly, encouraging, and professional. The food was good overall; some meals were really nice, and there was a good variety of options. Overall, the care team made my recovery experience much more comfortable and reassuring. Thank you to the staff for their kindness and support."

"I had an overall very good stay. Thank you especially to nurses Cassandra, Padhma, Ancy, and Aishah, and to housekeeping Htet and San San. I experienced a brief but very painful complication on the first night after my laparoscopic 270 fundoplication with surgeon Dr Kan Yuk Man. The issue was promptly addressed by the team after I raised it, and the rest of my stay was truly above and beyond. Medical Record Number: FP00271470"
