"The financial department at this hospital are scammers!! My 2 year baby was severely dehydrated and needed fluids. The E.R doctor would not acknowledge my child until we paid 3,350! They are heartless!!! The only person that showed some compassion towards us was the actual pediatrician. I do not recommend this hospital at all!! Unless you do not mind giving out money. The receptionist would tell me one price and then tell my husband another!! We had to cut our trip short because after we paid the 3,350 they wanted another 1,600 plus the pediatrician fees for something else! We ended up paying 3,897.61."

"I have spent years as a rescue driver in Austria and have seen dozens of hospitals but I have never been to a hospital where from the nurses, doctors, management, insurance people, private security people, cleaning ladies to even the people who give you your parking ticket when leaving, every single one is so friendly, warm and professional, and especially the warmth and kindness stands out. My wife had an emergency c section after bleeding in the 32 week of pregnancy and was treated with so much respect and kindness other than in the public hospital where we have been before. She felt seen, understood and in the best hands fron the moment she arrived. In Galenia, our doctor Dra. Anillo even offered that she or her mother could care for our older daughter so that both my wife and me could visit our premature newborn daughter in intensive care together and she asked my wife late at night how she felt and if everything was ok. My best friend is a doctor and I know he is good but the doctors we met here were the best and most human I have ever met and probably will ever meet. Amazing, thank you so much to everyone who works at this outstanding hospital."

"We brought our bleeding 4-year-old daughter to Galenia Hospital for a small cut that required two stitches. Before treatment, we were given a set price. After the sutures were placed, they inflated the bill by another $300 USD, claiming they had used “additional supplies.” When I asked what these supposed extra supplies were, they couldn’t give me an answer. It was clear they were simply padding the bill to exploit us in a vulnerable moment. When I called them out, their response was appalling: “If you don’t like it, take your bleeding 4-year-old somewhere else.” The final bill came to nearly $3,000 USD for what should have been a routine, inexpensive procedure. This is medical price gouging at its worst, preying on travelers who have no time or ability to shop around. When I later told other local residents and hotel staff what I had been charged, they were shocked — almost falling over — knowing I had been blatantly exploited. The facility may look clean and modern, but their ethics are nonexistent. If you value honesty, transparency, and basic human decency, avoid Galenia Hospital at all costs."

"I gave birth to my son at Hospital Galenia. I normally never leave reviews but I have to say I had the most amazing birth experience here. The hospital itself is very clean. The staff are very kind and attentive. I wanted to thank two people, Ivana Valeria Rangel Rodriguez Hospital Galenia’s Medical Tourism Coordinator and Dra Jerilee Martinez Anillo, my OBGYN. I reached out to Ivanna via email. I worked with her for 6 months. She answered all of my questions in a timely and prompt manner. I told her about my birth plan and she helped connect me to Dra Jerilee. Once I was in Cancun Ivanna helped walk me through the hospital’s process, helped me with the paperwork, and she helped me get my appointments set up. She even helped me get appointments set up for my husband and family members. She truly provided outstanding service. Ivanna helped make the process so smooth, stress free, and effortless. My amazing birth experience is mainly due to Dr Jerilee. She made me feel so comfortable and safe. If you're looking for a caring and devoted doctor, look no further. I wanted to deliver my child naturally. My son was breech and she helped me try everything to get him to turn down. Instead of performing a C-section right away. We ended up performing an External Cephalic Version EVC. It was successful and I ended up delivering my son naturally. She stayed with us the entire labor and delivery process over 28 hours. She spent over 12 hours with us directly in our room during labor comforting us, giving us birth/baby tips. I was so touched by how attentive and caring Dra Jerilee and her team were. I would 100% come back to see Dr Jerilee for any future births."

"It feels very comfortable being there. Olivia is the best. She arranges everything for you when you are from outside the country of Mexico. You show up and all is prepared. Her personality is very welcoming and friendly. I love not having to worry about the stress of paper work especially since i don't know Spanish well. All her subordinates speak English as well and are all very nice. Galenia might be costly however the peace of mind you get not being stresses out with paperwork helps a lot. I don't even need to Contact my insurance. They do everything for you. Best service. The receptionist at imaging are a bit slow and don't know any English. But the staff attending to you in the radiation area are super friendly and helpful. I see many people complain about the price. This is a private hospital and will be costly. It is the same in my own country. Private hospitals cost a lot but if you have insurance and you are not from Mexico, then I highly recommend using their tourism concierge. They are a great help and speak English. They are all very nice and helpful. I have had the pleasure of meeting and being assisted by Olivia (who is the best), Ellen, Ricardo and another guy i cant remember his name. Not sure if it is Daniel or something with a D. That was over 2 years ago i met him. They arranged everything with my insurance prior to going there. I just showed up and Olivia walked me through everything. I was in and out as quick as possible. No long waiting. Use the concierge service they have. It really helps you from stressing about paperwork and payments. My journey at Galenia started September 2021 and I continue into 2023......"
