"I want to share my personal experience at Genea. The nursing team was excellent; I was always treated with great respect and professionalism. However, my perception of Dr. Danielle Robson’s approach was very disappointing. I felt that the focus was more on the financial side than on my individual care. For instance, Dr. Robson insisted on a surgery even after I provided a report from a specialist whom she had recommended stating it was unnecessary. In my view, she didn't seem to respect that opinion and continued to push for the procedure and more cycles. At the start, she mentioned we would 'learn and improve' with each cycle, but I felt there was no real effort to address issues like my thin uterine lining with medication, only a suggestion to keep repeating cycles. To me, it felt like our dream was being treated as a business opportunity. I only received a discount offer after informing them we were leaving. While the nurses are wonderful, my personal perception of Dr. Robson’s conduct was not positive."
"I have been a patient of this clinic for some time, and unfortunately the quality of service has declined compared to my earlier experiences. A few doctors I previously trusted are no longer with the clinic, and overall communication has become unreliable. On one occasion, I had an urgent question regarding medication during clinic hours. I called multiple times but was unable to reach anyone. Also, there was another time I was told I would receive a callback, this did not happen, which was stressful given the time-sensitive nature of fertility treatment. Additionally, I had a concerning interaction with a reception staff with nose piercing. My appointment with a nurse was cancelled without my consent or prior discussion. When I asked for clarification, the staff member was dismissive and unprofessional, which added unnecessary distress. Fertility treatment is an emotionally and medically sensitive process, and clear communication and respectful patient care are essential. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously and works to improve both patient support and front-desk professionalism."
"I had an excellent experience with Genea under the care of Dr Danielle Robson. From the reception team, sonographers, phlebotomists, nurses, day surgery staff, embryologists, everybody played a part in my positive experience by always showing kindness and empathy. Dr Robson made an incredible difference in my experience. I always felt seen and heard and she took the time to genuinely listen to my concerns, explain options clearly, and involve me in decisions about my treatment. Dr Robsons PA was always incredible; Tia is compassionate, incredibly kind and always went the extra mile. Geneas app was very special to watch my embryo’s development and was such a beautiful part of the journey. Thank you, Genea team for blessing me with my pregnancy. I’ll be forever grateful."
"I cannot speak highly enough about Genea and the incredible team there. From the moment you walk in, everything runs so smoothly and professionally. The reception staff are always warm, welcoming and organised, and the nurses are absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable, caring, supportive and genuinely compassionate throughout the entire process. You can really feel the level of experience and expertise across the whole clinic, which makes such a stressful and emotional journey feel far more manageable and reassuring. Every question is answered with patience and care, and you never feel like just another patient. The clinic itself is also beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with a calm and comfortable waiting area offering coffee, fresh juices, fruit and breakfast, which is such a lovely touch during early morning appointments."
"Avoid the Sydney CBD clinic as they are too busy for personalised care They need to focus on post implant medication support. Get a good obstetrician and consult with your OB before you go into an actual transfer on what you should be taking immediately after tramsfer (eg low dose aspirin, higher dose (400mg) progestrone pessaries using a long applicator) as that is critical to support when your own body cannot naturally support. Genea specialists focuses on just upto a transfer as thats what you pay for in their own minds. If any of their specialists asks you (casually) what you do for a living, its a red flag. Their other clinic in Bellavista have lovely experienced and competent specialists nurses and staff. Overall, all of their nurses and staff are hard working but at the end of the day, it is the specialists that need to be alert about your treatment plan. They need to go through and revise their post transfer support medication plan. Three of their longest serving specialists have jumped ship to IVF Australia one of which, bills over $350 for a few minutes zoom call only to tell you of a bad result. You pay for a $10k cycle and the specialists cant even call you for free? If you're under 43, try the low cost program with Westmead hospital instead. They are pretty good. Its interesting to see the poor reviews in recent months and a AI generated stock standard response from Genea. An average rating of 3 is pretty alarming. I thought they were the best in the country. Dont be fooled by brand name and plush cbd reception rooms. Time and customer feedback will get them to correct their path."
