"I was super hesitant about getting a hair transplant. I hate surgeries and anything medical honestly scares the shit out of me. I spent months watching videos online and, if anything, they made me want to do it even less. The swelling, the sleeping upright, the recovery process, all of it looked pretty brutal. Eventually I bit the bullet and went ahead with it at Gro Clinics Sydney. Looking back now, I’d do it again tomorrow. I had around 9,000 hairs transplanted and Dr Adam Cho was unbelievable. Maybe I got lucky, but the guy genuinely impressed me. Super confident, knows exactly what he’s doing, and somehow still finds the time to personally follow up afterwards. I honestly don’t know how he manages it. The staff were great too. The whole place felt more like a team than a clinic. Everyone was comfortable around each other, had a laugh, and made the experience way easier than I expected. When you’re nervous going into something like this, that matters. They also looked after me really well on the day. I had some annoying dietary requirements and they catered for everything without making it a hassle. One thing I’d say to anyone considering going overseas for a transplant: talk to a few barbers first. They’re the real OGs of the hair world and they’ve seen the results years later. Ask them what they think about Turkish hair transplants versus getting it done here in Australia. I did, and it helped make my decision. Hair transplants aren’t cheap, but this isn’t something I’d personally shop for based on price alone. Pay the extra and get it done properly. Only two months in for me, but so far I’m extremely happy with the decision and with the team at Gro Sydney."
