"Booked an appointment, with one of the few doctors available for online booking. Arrived there and they told me they can’t receive me because the doctor is not an orthopedic doctor anymore, she is a “surgeon” only. How comes a doctor forgets their specialty and can’t receive patient anymore… have no clue. The excuse? “We are sorry, we asked IT to remove the doctor from the booking system but they didn’t.” The resolution? I drove 3h back and forth for nothing, they couldn’t receive me at all and suggested I book an appointment in 2 months from now. I’ll definitely not go back for sure. If you’re in need of urgent care - this is a place to avoid."
"I had to go to Helios Buch after falling with my bike. I was quickly seen by Dr Ahmed, who ordered an Xray and later a CT of my elbow. I got a cast on my arm by a nurse and went home. Honestly, I don’t have anything to complain. The only thing that bothered me was how unsympathetic the lady at the “Frontdesk” of the ER was. Other than that, the service was great and I can recommend it."
"I'm an American living in Germany and decided to have surgery to remove a gastrointestinal stromal tumor here, as it's one of the leading centers in the world for this very rare cancer. Everyone has been very kind and has tried to speak English with me, given my limited German. It's only the first pre-op day with meetings with surgery, anesthesia, etc., and the requisite blood work. My surgery is tomorrow, and I'll be happy to update with more information if there's anything relevant."
"A very large hospital campus. The campus is like a big village. Everything has been considered for patients and their relatives. Even though the buildings seem many and big, there is a nice system. He takes care of patients very well. Almost every employee I saw was friendly. Additionally, the guesthouse designed for patients' relatives to stay was simply superb. It was also very nice that the building was made entirely of wood. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Room rent is 22.5 Euros per night. If you stay here and pay this fee, you can use the kitchen, food and drinks in the kitchen, sports equipment, massage chair, bicycles and many other things for free. It's also nice to be able to donate here. Volunteers come and work here twice a week, preparing breakfast and dinner. This is a very good service for the public good. I think those who have the means should donate or volunteer here."
"We had registered for birth at a different hospital but due to space were transferred to Helios. As soon as we got there we felt welcomed and in good hands. Every nurse , midwife and doctor was thorough and kind. Even when my German was not sufficient they were patient and worked with me to communicate. We stayed in a family room after an emergency C section and it was very lovely and made the first few days of our son’s life and post operation for my wife much more comfortable. All the food was delicious and the staff was attentive and even taught me a few tricks! There is really nothing we could complain about! We plan to register with Helios directly for the next child. I hate leaving Google reviews but we just couldn’t not give a huge thanks and show some love to the staff that worked the Easter weekend with nothing but smiles and passion!"
