"I accompanied my friend to the ER where we met Davidson Gomes who thankfully spoke English and was able to help us enormously with getting her paperwork , treatment and billing in order. He was so personable, kind, caring and determined at his job. Dr Ligia also spoke English and was very helpful with providing the right treatment for my friend. I was so thankful and happy she was provided the care that she received from the wonderful staff at the hospital where they were full in the waiting room and still managed to get us in to see the doctor at an appropriate time. "This place used to be a hotel and it is showing it's age. It is under elevatored with only 2 for 13 floors, the lobby check-in on the right is extremely dark with not enough overhead lighting and room 1307 had chipped paint and a dusty broken hospital bed."

"The Dr was good but the billing department took their own sweet time to issue the invoice. A one hour wait when you’re sick? So unacceptable … such a pricey hospital and yet they cannot improve their service. I am disappointed Copa Dor especially since it’s not the first time that we’ve encountered subpar services here."

"I had to undergo an urgent appendicitis surgery while visiting Rio. I was honestly scared... being in another country, needing surgery, and not speaking the language made everything feel more intense. But I had an amazing experience at the hospital. The staff was kind, professional, and made me feel truly cared for throughout the whole process. One small but beautiful detail really stood out to me: after the surgery, I woke up to see that the main pad covering the wound was shaped like a heart. Next to it, there was a handwritten note that said “boa recuperação.” That gesture meant a lot. It showed me that they don’t just do their job, they genuinely care and want to make you feel supported and at ease. I’m very happy I chose this hospital. It made a stressful moment feel safe and even a little heartwarming."
