"Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I highly recommend this hospital! My partner twisted her knee on the beach and couldn't walk properly. We drove to the hospital at 10:00 a.m. She had an initial examination, her vital signs were taken, an MRI was performed, and a diagnosis was made. We were out again at 3:30 p.m. and had an exceptionally good lunch for a hospital! Christian was a fantastic doctor who showed a lot of empathy and took a lot of time for us!"

"I had a good experience right from the start. The reception was extremely helpful and friendly. I didn't have to wait at all to be taken to a patient room. The doctor arrived shortly afterwards and discussed my condition with me. All the staff (reception, nurses, doctor) were highly professional at all times. I also think it was great that everyone spoke English, which is not usual in Rio. The service is like a 5-star hotel. I was accompanied and looked after at all times. The receptionist even came back to give me a folder for my medical records and a voucher for the very extensive breakfast buffet, where I could even have an omelette made for me (just like in a 5-star hotel). The costs are slightly higher than sons but absolutely justified. I wish we could get a service like this in Switzerland, which not even private patients get."

"Beautiful reception area—spotless, nicely decorated, even a piano in the waiting room. Unfortunately, the emergency service was extremely slow. My wife waited 2 hours just for triage and over another hour to be taken to the emergency room. Ironically, the night before we went to a public UPA, where she was seen in less than one hour. This is not a free service. The doctor’s fee is R$700, almost half of Brazil’s minimum wage. At that price, one expects efficiency, especially in emergency care. Bottom line: luxury and nice atmosphere do not equal good service. In an emergency, speed matters more than décor."

"I had an excellent experience at Copa Star Hospital in Rio de Janeiro. From the moment I arrived, everything was handled incredibly quickly and professionally. Within a very short time, I received any check, all without unnecessary waiting. A special thank you to Dr. Gabriela (I’m not sure if it’s the right name), who was an outstanding physician. She was attentive, thorough, and made me feel safe and well cared for throughout the entire process. The efficiency, organization, and level of care here are truly exceptional. I felt taken seriously from the first minute, and the entire team worked seamlessly together. Highly recommended."

"I want to share how grateful I am for the care I received during my stay. I arrived at the hospital with meningitis, scared and far from home, and from the very beginning I felt safe, supported, and never alone. Dr. Bruno Castelo Branco took the time to explain my treatment plan clearly and patiently, always answering my questions and making sure I understood what was happening. That kindness and clarity made a very overwhelming situation much easier to handle. The ICU team was truly wonderful. Although I wasn’t well enough to remember everyone’s names, I will never forget how caring they were — comforting me, checking on me often, sharing small jokes, and making sure I felt looked after. Being so far from home, their warmth meant everything. I was later moved to the observation unit, which is new, beautiful, and filled with the same attentive and gentle care. It truly feels like this level of professionalism and kindness is the hospital’s standard. I also have to mention the food — honestly amazing, better than anything I ate in Rio. The quality and variety were a wonderful surprise. A special thank you to Pedro, who always went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable and at home. I’m also very grateful for the thoughtful care from Dr. Daniel and Elaine from admissions. I only wish I remembered everyone’s name, because this has been one of the most compassionate and attentive hospital teams I’ve ever experienced — and I say this as someone who works in healthcare myself. Thank you for taking such good care of me, not just medically, but as a person."
