"My experience at the hospital was terrible. I arrived with blurred vision due to styes, and they gave me an eye exam to determine my glasses prescription. Obviously, with my impaired vision, the prescription wasn't correct. I was taken to the doctor, who told me I just needed more tears. My symptoms didn't matter. When I left, they sent me to the optical shop inside the hospital. There, I asked the person working there how much it would cost to change my glasses prescription using my existing frames, and she rudely told me $7,000.00, but that she had packages for $4,000.00. The service was awful, from the person who did the eye exam to the doctor and the person selling the glasses. I wouldn't recommend anyone go to Hospital de la Luz for treatment."

"It's unacceptable that with an appointment they see you after four hours. They should see people as they arrive so they don't suffer because you can't even go out to buy something to eat without them calling you at any moment. And it's not free."

"The way they organize things is a bit complex, but I imagine it's due to the high demand from patients. I recommend making an appointment by calling the numbers they have listed or online. When you arrive with your appointment, you have to go to the cashier area and from there to the consultation room. If it's your first time, there are several steps, and the total wait from the appointment time until the end was an hour and a half. There's also the option of arriving without an appointment, but obviously it takes longer, or they'll schedule you."

Yo también he venido a consulta.

"This came up as an emergency room so we took a 20 minute trip there only to be told they only service EYES. So unless you have an EYE EMERGENCY, go elsewhere. Listing shouldn’t say “general hospital”"
