"Arrived at the emergency late last night due to my partner not being able to see normally out of one eye after an injury. He was experiencing flashes and distorted vision for over a day. Emergency room staff were nice, helpful. The wait wasn't extremely long. However, the doctors seem completely uninterested and unaffected. The first doctor who saw us, checked blood pressure and basic vision test, then called a colleague who told hi it was "not urgent" and for us to come back the next day. When we arrived in the morning, they told us the doctor had erased the file and we'd have to start the process over again. Eventually, we were taken to an eye doctor, who was very rude and rushed. Did some basic tests and said he found nothing wrong. My partner still can't see properly out of one eye, we have no answers, nor any advice on what to do next. This experience was a 300 euro waste of time as we are now looking for other options. Absurd!!!"
"I had a very disappointing experience at this hospital. 1. Long waiting times – I waited over 1 hour just to see the doctor, and then another 1 hour to get an X-ray done. Extremely inefficient and frustrating. 2. Lack of medical explanation – After the X-ray, the doctor gave me no explanation about the results or my condition. The only thing offered was a painkiller, with no proper guidance or advice. 3. Suspicious billing practices – The hospital overcharged me and refused to provide a proper breakdown of the bill. This is very concerning and lacks transparency. I strongly urge everyone not to settle any payment without first checking with your medical insurance provider. Patients deserve respect, clear communication, and fair billing. Unfortunately, this hospital failed in all of these areas."
"I called to make an appointment, I clearly stated that at the beginning of the call. Digital assistant literally tortured me for 5 minutes asking to repeat things 2-3 times. After all the information is given it tells me that I should call another time and talk to a person 🤦♀️. Than I tried to register and make appointment via Lusiadas site. Site works horribly (no scrollbars where necessary, when filling out date of birth one has manually move cursor from one edit to another), after typing all the necessary information site just gave a general error and I couldn't register)."
"Would not recommend for women’s health. I went to a gynaecologist today & I never understood doctors that don’t look at or touch anything. It’s pretty much as useless as asking ChatGPT. Better to go to these women’s clinics around Lisbon that charge less but are attentive. Most of the doctors also work at those clinics anyway, but nicer environment for both them and you"
"Dear Lusiadas I want to thank all the staff in this hospital for being professional, patient with me, most of the staff either speaks english or french and if they don’t they would find you someone to help you out. Dr Luis Braga is a traumatologist/ orthopaedic doctor that operated on me, such a sweet understanding and successful doctor, he speak all three languages, he came to check on me multiple times after surgery even late at night❤️ This doctor is an asset to the clinic he was very supportive as i am not Portuguese and far away from my family. Nurses where amazing with a friendly vibe. Clinic even called me a day after i left to check my pain degrees Everything was done smoothly ❤️❤️ This will forever be my go to clinic ❤️❤️"
