"I had intraocular surgery in September, and I'm not at all satisfied with the results regarding my presbyopia: my eyes are watery, my vision isn't clear, I have almost constant blurriness, and reading more than two chapters of a book is very uncomfortable afterward; my eyes are bothered by it. I invested a considerable amount of money, including travel over 600 km from Oviedo, accommodation, and the surgery. I'm not satisfied with the results I expected, especially considering the significant investment. As for myopia, I haven't had any problems. We returned to the clinic because my daughter had surgery for high myopia four years ago and is still satisfied. That's not the case for me. If I had known these results, I wouldn't have had the surgery. Best regards"

"The whole team is lovely. I'm so glad I had my surgery at this center and delighted with Dr. Escalona. She's a fantastic professional. Approachable, calm, and she knows exactly what she's doing. Thank you, Doctor. I wish you all the best."

"A national and international leader in ophthalmology. Home to the prestigious Fernández-Vega Clinic, originally from Oviedo and with over a century of experience. A center that embodies excellence in the field of ophthalmology, with constant innovation and a warm, personal approach. I have been seeing Dr. Quiroga for over 10 years. It stands out for its exceptional care, which truly makes a difference: modern facilities, cutting-edge technology, and a top-tier medical team in whom you can fully trust your eye health. They offer personalized attention, rigorous diagnoses, clear explanations, and, above all, successful treatments. Highly recommended."

"Dr. José Luis Urcelay-Segura performed laser eye surgery on me for myopia in 2001. The clinic was in Madrid on Paseo de la Castellana and was called Vision Láser. My brother and I went there. He was immediately rejected because he had a curved cornea, that is, keratoconus. It's well known, as I saw a year later when I went to another doctor after my laser eye surgery, that keratoconus can run in siblings, although perhaps hidden, so they told me my surgery wasn't recommended. For this reason, I know that Dr. José Luis Urcelay-Segura shouldn't have operated on me. Of course, no one informed me about this or that my brother had keratoconus. I didn't know what it was. Now, at 50, and ever since then, I see about 20 percent less, even with glasses, because my vision is distorted. The only solution is to wear rigid contact lenses, which I've tolerated well until now, but they cause frequent infections. All of this could have been avoided had I not undergone that surgery. I would have perfect vision with glasses and soft contact lenses. That's my experience. When I went to Dr. Urcelay-Segura with my problem—post-LASIT ectasia, as I was diagnosed—he gave me a black and white photocopy of the corneal topography scan he had taken before the surgery because, he said, the reports couldn't leave the clinic. I was so scared that I didn't say anything. To this day, I find it incredible that he doesn't even have a color topography scan. That's all I can say. Added to this is my constant fear and worry about my eyesight since that fateful day. All of this could have been avoided had this negligence not occurred, which, given the context, and considering my brother's keratoconus diagnosis in 2001, seems like very serious negligence to me."

"I'm quite disappointed, to be honest, because they do a lot of tests, but they don't give you a report of what they've done or the diagnosis. They charged me almost €300, and I left with an envelope, which I thought contained a report, but it was a prescription. I don't know what tests they did or what type of keratitis I have. The doctor was very brief. I called the clinic, and now I have to request the report by email. It's all very commercialized. I was with my mother 15 years ago at the clinic in Oviedo, and this is nothing like it."
