"Got to urgencias at 2:30 am and left at 5:30 am without ever being attended. A complete embarrassment of an institution - they will only actually see you in urgencias if you’re bleeding from a wound. Avoid this place"
"Good place with a great work ethic. They don't leave you waiting around, which is rare these days."
"The rudest most uneducated nurse here works in the pediatric emergency ward. Not only they talked to us rudely and treated like as savages just cause they figured we were only tourists with travel health insurance, they also treated the child without care or compassion, no gentleness in doing blood tests. On the other hand, they do have an international relationship department incase you need help to communicate although they will not be with you the whole time. But really I warn everyone that if we had another choice and it wasn't an emergency I wouldn't let my child be touched by any of the nurses here."
"As is commonplace in Spain, the staff were terrific, the place was immaculately clean, and as it was already paid through social security, it didn't cost me a cent to get great treatment."
"Do not use this hospital, I’ve had the worst experience of after care I’ve ever experienced. After a spinal surgery it has been absolutely impossible to contact this hospital or get an appointment with my surgeon despite intense leg pain, inability to walk, over 20 calls and emails. I am in agony, taking tramadol for 2 months now with no access to discuss medication and have received a message with absolutely no explanation that my scan which was on Sunday has been delayed ANOTHER MONTH! After a spinal surgery this is just unbelievable. Do not use this service unless you want to be completely ignored after serious surgery. I could obviously have a serious complication and no one is responding to me"
"This is the best hospital I have ever been to. As a foreigner living in Spain, I would’ve been nervous to be admitted to a hospital, but I was here for a week and got the best care imaginable from the nurses and doctors, everyone in the hospital is so nice. I speak Spanish, so that might have helped me have a good experience, but I was shocked by how caring the staff here is. They took time to understand my issues, come up with solutions, and make sure I was in good hands. The doctors have all been meticulous about scheduling follow-ups with me to make sure I am healing well. I felt that everyone on the unit, from the nurses to the med students, were invested in my wellbeing. Coming from the US, where hospitals treat you like a piece of trash and force you to go into medical debt for even a one-night stay, I am so grateful for the kind treatment I received at Jimenez Diaz. They don’t treat you like just another number or part of the system. The dermatology department is amazing and made me feel so comfortable while going through a really difficult time. Internal medicine was wonderful as well. I have made sure to tell all my friends in Madrid that if they have a problem, they should go to this hospital if they can. I have a new admiration for medical workers after this experience."
