"I recently had the experience of being admitted here and had to stay under supervision for a few days. Having been a handful of public hospitals around the world I would say the level of attention and care here is world class. Like any hospital you need to wait to take tests and so on but the hospital is clean, the equipment is good and the staff on our ward were amazing. Very helpful, friendly and attentive. The doctor on the ward was also very nice and answers any questions you have and ensured I was looked after. I walked out of there with no bills to pay, no added steps to take and after a thorough examination of my health. What more can one ask for ? Thank you to all the staff here for making me feel welcome and despite my poor German persisting with it and explaining to me in words I could understand. If I were sick And needed hospital care, I would come back here in a heartbeat :-)"

"I cant give 0 star otherwise I would have done so. I have never come to this clinic and was attended to quickly. I came in today and the emergency ward is literally empty apart from an old lady waiting to see her husband who waited 2 hours to no avail. A man comes in dressed in a suit and even though I have been here over an hour he gets called after not more than 5 minutes. I asked why and the attending said because of his emergency. I am wondering how she diagnosed that its okay to let me wait 100 hours. I dread coming here but sometimes you just have to. Double Standards everywhere but when it comes to my taxes no double standards"

"Worst hospital I have ever been to. Waited 4 hours just to see a doctor who performed the checkup right in the waiting room because there were “no beds left”. Just for him to screw up drawing blood (took 2 tries). He told us to wait a bit longer which ended up being 2 more hours. In the meantime they had prepared a room for us but failed to inform us of this until we stood up and actively found a nurse who eventually checked for us. Worst experience I have ever had at a hospital. Wait times are ungodly. Some patients had been seen twice in 1 hour before we had seen the first doctor. Unacceptable and I am never coming back. Absolutely recommend against this. How they are still allowed to operate is unfathomable to me."

"My husband went to the emergency room due to a fracture suspicion on his right foot. We spent 5 hours in total just for an X-ray and brace and in the end, we found out at home that they gave us the left brace instead of right. So I need to go back there again just to get the correct brace. We went there because it was the closest one, but I will definitely think twice before going again. Update: I went back to get the correct brace. I would still leave preferred not having to come back a second time, however, I will give one extra star because of the nice nurse in charge on the second time. Despite the queue and the emergency that happened, I was able to get the correct brace in 45min. I think that was very reasonable considering the circumstances."

"I am very disappointed with the medical care I received at Bogenhausen Hospital Emergency Department. On the morning of 25 December, I had an accident resulting in a wrist fracture, a hairline fracture in my index finger, and an impact injury to my forehead due to a sudden fall. I arrived at the hospital around 11:00 AM and did not leave until approximately 4:30 PM. While the actual medical procedures took relatively less time, the majority of hours were spent waiting. I waited almost 30 minutes initially before being seen by a doctor, then waited again for the first X-ray, followed by another long wait for an orthopedic doctor. After reviewing the X-ray, the orthopedic doctor immediately suggested surgery without first considering or attempting a conventional approach such as manual manipulation and casting. Only after I explicitly refused surgery the doctor agree to apply a plaster cast. After yet another long wait, a nurse came to take me for the plaster application. When I requested that the doctor be present during the casting (which I believe is reasonable for a fracture requiring proper alignment), the nurse reacted rudely and with visible annoyance, said she did not have time and had other patients to attend. I made it clear that I was willing to wait. She then called the doctor, clearly frustrated. Once the doctor arrived, it became evident that two people were required—the doctor had to hold my hand in position while the nurse applied the plaster. Throughout this process, the nurse remained angry and rude. The X-rays themselves took only 10–15 minutes, and the plaster application around 30 minutes, yet the entire visit lasted close to five hours. This prolonged waiting, combined with rude behavior, was extremely distressing—especially for someone already in significant pain. Unfortunately, this was not my first negative experience at Bogenhausen’s emergency room. In December 2023, I visited with a head injury and waited nearly 30 minutes in the waiting area holding a cloth against my bleeding head, with the total visit again taking 4–5 hours. I understand that emergency departments can be busy, but lack of empathy, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior—particularly toward patients in pain—are unacceptable."
