"Very few elevators servicing the whole outpatient dept and the 600- bed multistory floor facility. be prepared to wait a long time or get cramps going up and down the stairs. Even though everything is computerized, there's a lack of interest in this hospital taking advantage of it to help efficiency and reduce waste for the benefit of patients. For instance, we came here for an elective procedure, we should just be able to pre arrange things, pay the deposit all before even arriving at the hospital. We should just present a QR code. Same with discharge, it should just be as easy and simple and a few clicks in the computer. The staff can be rowdy at night. Some trainees weren't supervised- taking inaccurate BP reading. Staff takes a while to accomplish simple things but I think this is due to them being required to do extra steps which doesn't help. For instance billing takes 30-40 minutes- why? The management and operations officer need to be replaced. There's a lot of inefficiencies and unhelpful redundancies. Bright spot would be housekeeping and dietary. They're focused, helpful and just did their job on time."

"We were referred here by Dr. remi to Dr. Isabela. and was quickly available even out of his clinic schedule. Joyce was equally pleasant and everything went well. Clean, busy but overall a very reliable healthcare facility."

"We used to bring our mother to another private hospital in Makati, but at the time that hospital was already full, so we had no choice but to rush her to Makati Medical Center. We were honestly nervous because of MMC’s reputation for being expensive. To our surprise, most of the laboratory procedures here were actually cheaper, and the quality of care was just as good, if not better. My mom was rushed in with an oxygen saturation of almost 50 percent, but thanks to the quick action of the ER doctors, it was raised to 99 percent. The admitting process was smooth and fast. When the room we preferred wasn’t available, they upgraded us to a bigger one at no extra cost. We were expecting a bill shock afterward, but there was none. We were genuinely pleased with the fairness of the charges. The staff are competent, kind, and professional. Everyone from the doctors and nurses to the guards deserves commendation. When my mom sadly passed away, the staff were very considerate. They allowed us to take care of the funeral arrangements first before asking us to settle the bill, which was a big help during such a difficult time. Overall, I have nothing but good words for Makati Medical Center. It’s no wonder they have earned the Department of Health Hall of Fame Award; they truly deserve it."

"My experience at the ER was ok. The billing process took 1.5hrs though. But the worst part was the encounter with this lady at med express. While waiting in line to buy medicines i already noticed that she was not customer friendly. My turn came. As she was repeating what i ordered she mentioned a different drug and i said is that the same as zoltax? To which she said: zoltax ba binigay sa inyo? Yes that’s what’s on the prescription Then another item i initially said 3 but realized i needed 6. She said: “sabi mo kanina 3 lang.” So i said: “di puede magdagdag?” It pained me to have to tell her “miss hindi ko naman yan hinihingi.” But she was simply too rude to let it pass. I know her job maybe hard or she may have been already tired. But a little compassion goes a long way especially when you’re sick. If she can’t be nice at least be professional."

"1. Nurses were nice but when asked for help you wait forever. 2. Discharge untill doctors confirmation, 7 hours and still not confirmed so I complained. Then they wanted to discharge me but telling me to wait first 2-3 hours untill the paperwork is done while they had the entire day to do it. 3. From emergency room to get a patient room took 6 hours in a loud, cold and exhausting environment. For a hospital that should count as one of the top in Philippines, it is truly third world level."
