"We came from North Carolina to visit Dr. Meza and was pleasantly surprised with the level of service and professionalism. I had a sinus lift, three implants, two root canals and two crowns plus a cleaning for the price of one implant and 2 crowns in the USA. I go back in 6 months to get my 3 crowns on the implants. I booked several extra days to see the countryside and really enjoyed all the extra activities.. I would recommend Dr Meza and his staff to anybody nervous about having dental work in a different country. I did extensive research on Turkey before I started thinking about Costa Rica and just felt like there was far too many complaints coming out of reviews from Turkey. "I’ll start by saying I’m not a naturally comfortable traveler, and I’ve always had some hesitation around dental work. Before deciding to leave the country for treatment, I did extensive research and interviewed several dentists in both Mexico and Costa Rica. Dr. Meza stood out immediately. He’s an interesting and likable man. He made himself available for phone consultations and walked me through the entire process. Using my U.S. X‑rays and scans, he provided a remarkably detailed initial estimate. His office also offered help with travel logistics, lodging, and local transportation — including a dedicated driver for clinic visits and airport transfers. Rebeca Bianchini, in particular, provided near‑concierge‑level support. There were absolutely zero surprises. In the clinic, Dr. Meza was assisted by Dr. Melanie Cordero, and the two worked together seamlessly. Both were excellent communicators. My case involved a failed bridge with anchor teeth that could no longer support a replacement. Over three days, I had two teeth removed, two implants placed to support a new bridge and a seven‑tooth restoration to rebuild my smile. The communication was consistent and clear — both before I left home and again once I arrived in San José. Rebeca sent a full timeline of my appointments, and in person Dr. Meza reviewed additional optional treatments without any pressure or upselling. One thing that mattered to me was not feeling rushed. Some clinics I spoke with wanted me to fly in, complete two days of treatment, and fly home immediately. Dr. Meza took a more cautious, medically responsible approach and recommended staying in San José for five days, acknowledging that implant placement is a surgical procedure. I’m very glad I followed that advice. My gums were swollen from the surgery and bone grafts, and I left the chair with stitches — it’s important to have time to understand and manage that recovery. You can feel confident choosing Dr. Meza. This is a thoroughly modern clinic with top‑tier staff and exceptional dentists. As for San José itself, it’s a fascinating city. I stayed downtown at Hotel Presidente, within walking distance of the Mercado and several museums. There are excellent local sodas (restaurants), bakeries, and produce stands everywhere. While I wouldn’t describe dental tourism as a vacation, I genuinely enjoyed my stay and deeply appreciated the warmth and hospitality of the Costa Rican people. I return in 6 months to complete the work, I intend to spend some time on the northern Pacific coast and maybe even play a little golf."

"My wife, Cindy, and I started visiting Dr. Meza’s clinic about 10 years ago. Cindy had extensive implant work done over the years. The cost was about 30% of what we were quoted in Hawaii. I accompanied Cindy because Costa Rica is an amazing country and a fun place to visit. I had a root canal, one implant and some crowns replaced. Also, at about 1/3 the cost here in Hawaii. I am seeing Dr. Meza again in about two weeks to have two implants completed. I am 80 years old. Dr. Meza is the best dentist I have ever had. Each time we visited over the past 10 years, the office had a new, higher level of technology. But more importantly, even with his impressive success, Dr. Meza has retained his empathy, gentle hands, enthusiastic clinic staff, and his drive to keep getting better. "Not enough stars for this review. I started looking into Dr.Meza for years before I was able to visit. Unfortunately life happened but made it the last week of Oct,2025. I researched alot before I left and now that I have the actual experience I want to help others their trip easier, besides I am very Savy. 😁 It was a solo trip and as a woman traveling alone, the experience was absolutely amazing. The culutre and people are just a big WOW. Kari and Hugo from the travel department are wonderful people. I will be going on an excursion next time around. Ken the Coordinator is exceptional and again, patient because as always I had alot questions. Accomidations were perfect for me. The apartment was clean and that was my biggest concern for me. Lets start with the staff and how professional, attentive, courteous, respectful and compassionate they are. Dr. Meza is very knowledgeable, he explains everything and is a honest person. I cant say enough about his professionalism and side chair manners. Dr. Marin is also wonderful Dentist. She is patient and listened to my concerns and she immediately did what she needed to do fix the issue which was minor. As far as the Lab well I didn't really get to meet them. But they definitely are very good at what they do. Last but not least the driver Jospet he gets everyone to their appointments and he communicates if there is any changes to pick up the paitents. So with all this I am feel like they are my family in Costa Rica and cant wait to be back after the New Year."
