"We attended the Emergency Paediatric Department in December 2025 after my son experienced spasms caused by a high fever. As we were visiting from abroad and did not have insurance, we were informed upfront that the cost would be up to €1,000, provided no additional tests were required. In reality, we were charged a total of €1,800. This included approximately €250 for the overnight stay, €250 for doctors’ fees, and an astonishing €1,300 for tests taken from a single blood draw. No additional tests were carried out. The doctor visited four times simply to check my son’s fever. Food provision consisted of one set of meals only (lunch, dinner, and breakfast) for my son. I find this level of charging completely disproportionate and misleading, especially given the clear statement that the cost would not exceed €1,000 if no additional tests were needed. Charging €1,300 for tests from one blood sample feels excessive and unjustified. Additionally, even when nurses were called, there was often a noticeable delay before anyone arrived, which added to the distress during an already stressful situation. Overall, this was a very disappointing and upsetting experience, particularly for a family dealing with a medical emergency involving a child."

"Very unnecessary wait to be released due to the accountants' office delaying processing our paperwork... Also very long wait to be sent a sandwich and a bottle of water (had to get them ourselves after all). The level staff that we could see were helpful and competent, those in admin spoiled the entire day."

"An excellent hospital with outstanding medical staff. Eighteen months ago, while visiting my family in Greece, my four-year-old son developed a bilateral hernia. We are extremely grateful to the medical team and to the surgeon, Dr Spiridis, who took care of our son at very short notice (1st consultation within 12 hours, surgery within 48 hours of first contact) The hospital facilities were impressive and very accessible. There were ramps outside and multiple elavators inside which was very helpful as we also had an 18 month old son in a pushchair. More importantly though, the medical staff we encountered demonstrated a strong duty of care. They were professional, compassionate, and made a genuine effort to engage with and reassure our very frightened little boy. Their kindness, constant communication and calm approach made a difficult situation much easier for both our son and our family."

"The hospital looks nice but not necessarily offers mobility inclusion. The entrance of the hospital has only stairs no ramp for wheelchair or baby trollers! Our experience was not very good, in fact was quite disappointing. The person at the cashier was very rude and angry, too stressed out, I suppose. I prefer to think he was tired than perhaps facing the fact that racisms is still a huge problem in Greece. We are a mixed culture family, my husband is from Afghanistan, I am from Chile and our beautiful daughter born in Greece. It hurt my heart every time I see how people treats my husband, I often get angry at them but that is pointless…. Even to take a taxi is a challenge when they see us!! I really can’t ignore the fact that after soooo many years we still face the same rubbish…."

"I found this hospital very nice, especially surgery department. I had a small surgery and all the stuff was absolutely great. They all performed on time. Yes, the hospital is costly and not all people can afford it, but I believe it is clear enough especially when we are going to private hospitals. However, everything was great and the most important fast. It took for me about 40 min to pass all check pre surgery and I was surprised that on the next day the surgery started on time. So every single euro is totally worth for great treat."
