"I had an unexpected health emergency and was sent to this hospital in an ambulance after being refused by 2 other hospitals because of not having Japanese insurance and only having travel insurance which was pretty terrible in my opinion, but thankfully this hospital accepted me. There were 2 doctors who spoke English that did all the emergency scans, tests and examinations and explained to me what they were doing and my results which I was very grateful for and were thorough. The other staff didn’t really speak any English especially at the desk where you pay for the medical expenses but the lady did use a translator machine so was ok. I only experienced the emergency department so can’t say anything about the rest of the hospital to be able to recommend it but they at least have some English speaking staff and doctors if that’s what you’re looking for. I give it 4 stars because i don’t know about the other departments."
"Excellent hospital for foreigners who live in Japan. Almost everyone can speak English, they have forms and signs in English and other languages. I found this very convenient and didn’t find my self stumbling around the hospital looking all confused, I have intermediate japanese skills and staff who couldn’t speak English spoke slowly with easy japanese words that worked for my level. I visited the ENT doctor who’s English skills were good enough for me to understand. If you can’t understand or have questions that must be clarified clearly, she advised me to let her know and she can call an interpreter. I gave 4 stars because the lines for the cashier were extremely long. It took an hour wait for my number to be called. I’m not sure if it’s just my luck, hopefully it isn’t as busy on other days, and the chaos is because of the upcoming Obon holiday. Another problem was, no vending machines.. there was a cafe, but I wanted to get a simple drink from a vending machine which was either non existent in the hospital or I didn’t look hard enough."
"Thank you so much to the team from the emergency department. I was sent by ambulance on a Sunday with a sprained and swollen foot (I couldn’t walk at all). Everyone was so efficient, kind and helpful. I was in and out of hospital within an hour (including Xray, getting crutches and payment). One of the doctors even taught me how to use the crutches and asked me to practice first. Oh, and they had English speaking doctors too. Amazing. Thank you again for the excellent service."
"Came here to get yellow fever vaccine. Everything was smooth from making appointment by phone until the vaccination day. On the phone they asked me to send by email a copy of my passport and health insurance card to secure my appointment. First registration at the Travel Clinic took a bit of time because they had to check my covid vaccination record and I had to fill out a long questionnaire. But, this is pretty much a standard process I guess. When my number was called I was brought into a room where a nurse explained about the vaccine and recommended other vaccines before my travel based on the latest risk infection information. I didn’t want to spend more than I needed to unless it’s a requirement to enter the country where I would be traveling, so I just told her yellow fever is enough. Then she told me to go to another room where I would get the shot. They gave me back my registration paper and told me to pay. I lined up in front of the cashier, gave my paper, and they handed me a number. It turned out I have to wait (again) until my number shows up in the monitor to pay at the machine. Many other reviews complained about the long wait during payment process. Yes, this part is annoying. It was Wednesday 4pm so maybe not the most crowded time. I waited about 15 minutes. Overall, it was okay experience for me. There’s a reading corner next to Tullys which I think helps to kill time while waiting."
"The hospital itself said that all lights were turned off at 8 o'clock, and a Japanese came to live next to it. Don't turn off the lights after 8 o'clock. The nurse called and put out the light in her room, and then the Japanese turned on the desk lamp at 11 o'clock. Oh, that's when you tell us, but all the lights will be turned off. When the Japanese themselves can open until 11 o'clock. Then the nurse turned on the desk lamp for her convenience to take care of the patients in the next bed. The Japanese chatted with his children until 11 o'clock, and from time to time, the voice was quite loud. I want to say that the Japanese will continue to do this. Their quality is getting worse and worse, and they are becoming more and more double-standard. But I finally want to say that the doctor on the sixth floor is very good in attitude and advice."
