"We visited NMC Khalifa City and overall the facility is good. However, I have a concern regarding the pharmacy. There is an automatic token machine, but patients are not allowed to take tokens themselves. Instead, the help desk staff member is the one issuing all the tokens. This creates unnecessary delays because patients have to wait while he is busy assisting others. During our visit, we waited long to just get the token. If the machine is automated, it would be much more efficient if patients could take their own tokens without needing assistance. When we asked for a token, we were told to wait until the staff member finished resolving another patient's issue. I hope this process can be improved to reduce waiting times and make the pharmacy experience more convenient for patients."
"Every hospital has their downfall. In the end is mostly business. A patients pain becomes their profit. However, for this hospital in total i have experienced multiple issues specificly with the doctors from eye, to orthopedic to gynec , to pediatric , to even the physiotherapy department. As a mom of a multiple young toddlers I will not keep this information for myself. The pediatric department recommended a physiotherapist for my toddler, 2months later, the department said, the doctor made a mistake and we dont actually have a pediatric physiotherapist. Even though the technical personal herself ( Mrs. Henna) told me yes we have. Other than miscommunication is the lack of professionalism and lack of medical ethics. If you do not know about muscle and skeletal structure of a toddler dont play with their pain! And try to wing it!! NMC is really good with complaints , I have filled multiples but maybe not enough. Anyways, if this is your last resort, be mindful, careful and listen carefully to what nonsense sometimes the doctors and staff will tell you. Please be careful."
"I would like to raise a complaint regarding a receptionist named Nooran in black abaya in the Pediatric Department. I visited the department on 20 June at approximately 9:20 AM. Unfortunately, my experience with the receptionist was very disappointing. When she asked for my Emirates ID, I placed it on the counter in front of her. She gave me an unfriendly look, as if taking the ID from the counter was an inconvenience for her. I chose to ignore that moment and handed the ID directly to her. After our appointment with the doctor, I approached her again to schedule a follow-up appointment. Instead of assisting me, she pointed to a QR code and told me to register myself. I found this quite unreasonable. Using the QR code required me to spend around 10 minutes completing the entire registration process, including entering name, creating a password, providing phone number, email address, Emirates ID details, searching for the correct doctor, etc before I could book the appointment. In my opinion, assisting patients with appointment scheduling is part of the receptionist's role, especially when the patient is already present at the clinic. The lack of assistance and the overall unfriendly attitude made the experience frustrating and unwelcoming. On the other hand, I would like to commend Dr. Tomson, the pediatric surgeon, and his nurse. They were extremely kind, friendly, and professional. My son was a little scared at the beginning of the visit, but they quickly found a way to make him feel safe and comfortable. The entire consultation went very smoothly thanks to their excellent approach. Doctor and nursing experience: 5/5 Receptionist experience: 0/5 I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration to improve the patient experience in the future."
"My baby was born prematurely at 29 weeks, and spending 45 days in the NICU was one of the most challenging experiences for our family. Throughout this journey, we were blessed to have such a dedicated and compassionate medical team caring for him. A special thank you to Dr. Halawa and Dr. Shibin for their professionalism, expertise, and continuous support. Their dedication gave us confidence and hope every step of the way. I would also like to sincerely thank the wonderful nurses, Jothy Kurian and Dhanya Raj, for their kindness, patience, and outstanding care. They treated our son with love and compassion, and their support meant so much to us during this difficult time. Thanks to the entire NICU team, We will always be grateful for the excellent care, commitment, and humanity shown by everyone involved. Highly recommended. "I had a recent hospital stay at NMC Royal, and I would like to sincerely express my appreciation for the nursing team. The nurses were consistently professional, attentive, and genuinely compassionate throughout my stay. Their calm demeanor and clinical competence made a difficult period much more manageable. I would especially like to thank Mrs. Anju for her exceptional care. Despite my being quite unbearable at times due to severe pain, she remained patient, kind, and supportive. Her professionalism, empathy, and dedication truly stood out. Grateful for the excellent care and support. Highly appreciated."
