"I had a pretty major operation (over 8 hours) at NSP requiring ICU and admission to the surgical ward. How amazing are the staff? Scale 1-5…a 6. The hospital facilities can look a bit dated in the wards but they have everything you need and it all works perfectly. Everything went without a hitch, no infection, no distress. Just professionals. Oh…. And the food is quality. I was looking forward to each mealtime. From steak with peppercorn sauce through to the chicken Caesar. Yum! Just what you need to recover. The red wine went down a treat too. I won’t hesitate to recommend NSP and touch wood, should I need a hospital again, you will know where I’m heading. Well done team in ICU, theatres and 3 South."

"Dr Harden performed a lobectomy on me spending about 6 hours in the operating theatre, I spent the first night in intensive care and a few days on the ward. All of the theatre staff were amazing, all of the doctors, nursing staff, physios, food service workers , housekeepers and pharmacy workers were all amazing. The food was great and all of the staff were so kind, it means so much. Nobody wants to have surgery, but this hospital really made it so much better. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me."

"We had an excellent experience at North Shore Private Hospital from beginning to end. The level of care, professionalism, and kindness shown by the entire team was truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed, supported, and well looked after. Every doctor, nurse, and support staff member we interacted with demonstrated genuine compassion and dedication. The service was seamless, and everything was handled with such efficiency and care, which made a big difference during what can often be a stressful time. The medical care we received was amazing. The team always took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all our questions, and ensured we felt comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. It was evident that patient wellbeing is their top priority. A very special thank you to the incredible nurses and midwives who cared for us, especially Tanya, Georgia, Pam, Kyleen, and Jenny, along with many others whose names we unfortunately cannot remember. Every time we came in for a check-up, we were greeted by such warm, friendly, and caring professionals who always made us feel comfortable and reassured. "I’ve been to NSPH Maternity twice now and both experiences were quite different. If our most recent experience was the first, I would have considered the other hospital my Obstetrician works out of. The doctors, theatre staff and all of the staff I encountered immediately post op were amazing on both occasions. Extremely caring and professional, and made me feel at ease. There is a nice selection of meals in the ward and kitchen facilities provided are handy. It’s a shame that usual morning tea was not made available over the public holiday weekend. There are some fantastic midwives, and some who should probably consider another profession. I found the way in which some of the midwives spoke to me to be rude and inconsiderate. This occasion, we were in a room which is situated right near the main administration desk and surrounded by recovery rooms, so the noise made it difficult to sleep during the stay. Some of the chairs should be replaced as the upholstery has cracked, and cleanliness of the bathrooms be looked at. On a side note, staff (including catering) should not be allowed to wear perfume or heavily scented deodorants in hospitals. Overall, both stays were more positive than negative. Considerations should be made though for the cost patients pay to stay and the expectations that come with that."
