"Top-Notch Prosthodontist If you’re looking for a prosthodontist at the top of his game, look no further than Dr. Chavarría at Nova Dental in San José, Costa Rica. I booked a consultation on a Monday and received a detailed treatment plan to restore my bite and occlusal plane with six crowns and a bridge. Preparatory work, including digital scans, was completed by Wednesday, resin trials were done on Friday, and the finished crowns were placed the following Tuesday. The efficiency and professionalism were remarkable. The fit and appearance of the crowns are impeccable. The only minor hesitation I have is with the bridge placed over a failed molar implant. While it seemed the best option at the time, its bite force is somewhat limited—something not fully apparent at the outset. That said, I am very satisfied with the quality and value of the care I received. I am especially pleased with the crown placed on a Nobel Biocare 3.0 bicuspid implant. Dr. Chavarría followed exact specifications and even demonstrated the proper torque wrench setting before placement. Having previously experienced a broken crown on that implant, I was both grateful and relieved by his meticulous attention to detail. Overall, excellent care, superb results, and a level of professionalism that inspires confidence."

"This is my second time visiting Nova Dental and I can say enthusiastically they are the best dental experience you will ever have. Clean and calm office with new equipment and private rooms. The staff is wonderful and friendly with incredible care. Most importantly, they are HONEST!! My new dentist at home quoted me $6,000 for work "needed immediately". I had the same quote 8 years prior and nothing had changed. Obviously it was not required. Horrible & deceiving. I knew I would need a root canal soon and Nova gave me several options ranging in prices with potential outcomes. They also agreed that the many other "cavity potential" teeth were in no way needing immediate attention. Exam, cavity removal, Root canal, post, crown. Grand total? $850. Thank you!"

"Thankful thankful and so thankful that I found this group of amazing dentists and staff! They are way ahead of the game in terms of dental innovation and technology. I’ve made four trips to Costa Rica to get my dental treatment here and saved so much money doing so. I paid about 1/3 of what I would have paid for the same dental work and dental surgery in the United States. Nova Dental also was able to save and “rebuild” several teeth that the dentist in the US said needed to be pulled. My business partner took my advice too, joined me on my last trip, and got his new crowns at Nova Dental. One of my sisters also joined me and got a check up and cleaning. We are all big fans. Can I give them 100 stars? All dentist and oral surgeons speak fluent English. It’s in a little plaza with great restaurants and my favorite new chocolate shop. The pharmacy is also in the plaza. I got X-rays of my teeth in the US, emailed them to Nova Dental, they gave me an estimate, and we took it from there. It is located in Escazu, an exclusive neighborhood in the capitol city of San Jose with great shopping and plenty to do before and after the appointments. Thank you Nova Dental!"

"I was seen at Nova dental by Dr. Obando between December and March. I needed a full mouth restoration. In December I had ten of my front top teeth pulled and 4 implants installed. With the plan to crown all of my bottom teeth and the 4 remaining teeth on the top with an implant bridge for the ten that were pulled. It was a great experience and everyone at the clinic is very helpful and nice. Everything was explained to me very well and all of my questions were answered timely and with compassion. In March I came back after healing to finish getting all of my teeth. Was provided with a set of temporary crowns for the lower and 4 top teeth. These were excellent and I was able to eat soft foods with no issue. Later in my stay they installed the permanent versions of my teeth after a couple of appointments to decide on the exact shape and color. The work that was done was very high quality and the lab they use is amazing at crafting your teeth to your exact specifications. I could not be happier with the end result. I would highly recommend Nova Dental and Dr. Obando to anyone looking for affordable dental care outside of the United States. The cost for this was about half as much as it would have been in the states. The quality of the work was just as good or better. Not to mention you get a vacation on top of it."
