He walked into my room with confidence and a smile and said, "Everything looks good. Let's get this knee fixed." My husband and I were absolutely shocked by the efficiency and level of care I received. Everything was organized, thorough, and patient-focused. I underwent ACL reconstruction using a hamstring graft along with repair of a bucket-handle meniscus tear. The cost included surgery, hospitalization, and an overnight stay with 24-hour nursing care—something that would have been difficult to imagine at a comparable cost in the United States. After discharge, my driver was already waiting downstairs as soon as I exited the elevator and took us back to the hotel. Speaking of the hotel—it exceeded every expectation. The room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything someone recovering from surgery could need. It provided the perfect environment to rest and begin healing. Before flying home, I had one final follow-up appointment with Dr. Gino. He carefully examined my knee, reassured me that everything looked excellent, and answered all of my remaining questions. After a smooth drive back to San Diego, I was on a plane and home by 8:00 PM. Now, three weeks after surgery, Dr. Gino and his staff continue to check on me regularly. We have resumed follow-up appointments through Zoom, and I am currently attending physical therapy. I am incredibly grateful to be on the road to recovery and to have this injury behind me.
