"Excellent service, staff are friendly. The hospital in general needs a bit of a revamp. The recent alterations and additional brand new day ward is fantastic! The new Mug and Bean restaurant makes a huge and positive difference. The food menu has a great variety but the actual food is nothing to write home about in terms of flavour, and always cold. Coffee/tea always cold by the time it gets to you but you can ask for meals and drinks to be reheated. I recommend a small microwave be placed in each ward, where the serving staff can warm up one's meals. I understand they have a lot of mouths to feed. The bedside bins were not emptied every day. In general I would recommend the Mediclinic Panorama since the doctors there are excellent."
"I fully understand that emergency rooms must prioritise life-threatening injuries and critical emergencies first. I also understand that anxiety attacks may not appear as urgent as physical trauma. However, that does not excuse the complete lack of compassion, communication, and professionalism I experienced here. I arrived at the emergency room during a severe panic/anxiety attack with intense chest pain and psychological distress. This was later confirmed by a psychiatrist, and I was placed on treatment afterwards. I was not being dramatic — I genuinely could barely function. What made the experience traumatic was being left waiting for nearly two hours in escalating distress without proper communication or assistance, while an available assessment room stood open. My wife ultimately had to aggressively push staff just to get me attended to. The doctor who eventually saw me was dismissive, cold, and frankly obnoxious. There was little empathy, little explanation, and very poor bedside manner throughout the process. Ironically, I recently experienced far better compassion and professionalism at Karl Bremer, a state hospital, than I received here at a private emergency room. Mental health emergencies may not always look dramatic externally, but they are still real medical emergencies deserving of dignity and competent care. I will not return, nor would I recommend this facility based on my experience."
"I recently had a 3 night stay over at Panorama hospital. The staff were extremely friendly and caring. They were always prompt and available when called. They exuded professionalism and a caring attitude that was above anything I have experienced before. I am so grateful to them all and it made an otherwise painful experience very pleasant. Even though the hospital was being renovated at the time, nothing interrupted their excellent service. It was an u forgettable experience which makes going into hospital far less traumatic. Thank you to all the staff and especially my Care Expert, Mariette Pretorius, who enhanced the expert care i received"
"I had an overall great experience at the hospital. From reporting to reception all the way to handing in my card to leave the hospital. All staff were friendly, helpful and caring. Food was great, I had ice cold water next to my bed and staff regularly checked up on me and gave feedback. The renovations are looking great and I'm sure that the hospital will look stunning once everything is completed. Was great to see a Mug & Bean too, even though I did not have a chance enjoy something there. Keep up the great work! 👍"
"We had to rush to Panorama Hospital's Emergency unit with my daughter last night with a suspected broken ankle (luckily just a sprain!) and the service from arrival where we were helped immediately with a wheelchair, to reception to nurses to x-rays, doctors and discharge was absolutely amazing! Every single person was extremely helpful, kind and genuinely concerned. They worked fast, explained every step to us, helped us through the process and had my distraught daughter actually smiling and at ease in no time. Legends, thank you so much!!"
