"The truth is, my wife and I were referred to that institution by our health insurance for Clostridium gastroenteritis (a bacterial infection caused by antibiotic use and hospital-acquired infections), and they kept us in the emergency room for over five hours waiting for a bed to become available. Meanwhile, my wife, who had constant diarrhea, had to be taken to the bathroom outside the emergency room to change her clothes. The poor organization was a disaster, as they couldn't attend to anyone else while the emergency room beds were occupied. My wife was hospitalized, and the lack of nurses to care for the patients was obvious. They were overwhelmed. We would call them, and they would arrive within an hour to see what we needed."
"I needed the pediatrician to change a prescription for my daughter's autism therapies. The day I went, she refused to do it without an appointment, as she always did. So I had to get a second appointment for the next day. When I went back the following day, the receptionist told me my health insurance only covers hospitalization and emergency room visits, and they refused to see me. Even though they had given me an appointment the day before, they're changing their system, and they didn't even try to see if that was a mistake; they just refused. The health insurance company told me they would file a complaint since they had the coverage listed on their records. The service at reception was terrible, the employees were so unhelpful, and the doctor refused to change the prescription. Because of this, my daughter is now without her therapies. It's impossible to get in touch to file a complaint; nobody gives any answers. The frustration they put me through is unbelievable. I'm going to keep complaining because I need my daughter's therapies and the doctor's prescription."
"I had a scheduled C-section a month ago and I was very happy with the prenatal classes led by Edith, Dr. Azar who performed the ultrasounds, Dr. Quiroga who was my obstetrician since family planning, the food service staff, and the operating room staff 💖 During the C-section, a nurse asked me what music I wanted and held my hand to calm me down because I was crying from nerves. That's one of my fondest memories. Then the anesthesiologist, who is the most attentive to you, calmed me by explaining what was happening and reminding me of the safety procedures so we could follow the protocol. He acted quickly when I felt nauseous during the surgery and was always attentive. Dr. Quiroga, who was with me throughout the pregnancy, did an excellent job. He sent me the photos a nurse took during the birth and came back every day to monitor my recovery before discharging me, adjusting my pain medication according to the pain I was experiencing. It was wonderful to see Edith and Dr. Azar again after the delivery. They came to congratulate me and wish me all the best. The arrival of the food was a source of immense joy. The food was delicious, even though it was meant to be post-surgical; they knew how to flavor it so it was enjoyable. Perhaps for improvement, I would add a system at the entrance where visitors can sign up in writing. Many people came in despite my having told my family who was allowed (my family was wrong to come anyway, but it would also have been good if security were more attentive to the number of people entering and suggested they wear masks). Regarding the wait time for the orderly, we had been warned during the prenatal class that they were the most requested person in the hospital, so it could take a while. Even so, despite the wait, there was just enough time for my husband to finish the paperwork before returning to our room. My husband's experience sleeping in a chair wasn't the best, although I understand there isn't much room for anything more comfortable for companions. I suggest that anyone going bring at least an orthopedic neck pillow and a backrest pillow."
"The professionals are great! The wait in the administration office is tedious, while in the pediatric emergency room, the wait isn't long. The co-payments are expensive, but well, it depends on your insurance coverage. These days they're using a new system, so there's double the wait in administration—approximately 40 minutes to be checked in, and then for the emergency room, which is supposed to be an emergency! People are going crazy with the wait, and the administrators aren't the most helpful (this is in pediatric clinics). Anyway, there's a lot of bureaucracy because once you're admitted and the doctor sees you, if they order a procedure, you have to go back to the infernal reception area to get authorization and pay. If you're lucky, they do it right away; if not, you have to come back the next day. Many things need to be changed; it's not a change of address, it's healthcare."
"My wife and I came to the emergency room. We waited over an hour and a half to be seen, then two hours for a test, and now we've been waiting another two hours for a report. No one is going into the examination rooms, but the reports never appear. It's a complete lack of care and empathy for the patients. When I finally banged on the door after two hours, they came out to see my wife. It's shameful how lazy they are, telling us they're waiting for the "protocols." Do they think we're all ignorant? What protocol are you talking about to write a report on a single sample? Get to work, or find another profession where people's care and quality of life don't depend on you. Mariano M. Pensa"
