"It's been three months since I had a trans mastectomy at Sculpture Clinic with Dr. Miguel Fernández Calderón, and I'm truly thrilled with the results. He's the best surgeon I could have had, and he really did give me the breasts I envisioned. However, I wanted to clarify a couple of things regarding the logistics of the surgery: We arrived at the hospital a little early to allow ourselves plenty of time, and when they called my name, they told me it wasn't there, but at a day hospital. Imagine my confusion and how nervous I was! And of course, I'm not from Madrid, and we didn't know where that hospital was. They told us where to go, but I was so nervous I didn't even know where to go! Luckily, we were with locals from Madrid and we got to the hospital (it was right next door). At the hospital, they told us I wasn't entitled to a day's stay, even though it was included and paid for in my quote. They said it was an outpatient procedure (they operate on you, you're there for a while, and you go home). The anesthesiologist had mentioned this to me days before during the pre-operative consultations, and I had told her the same thing—that it was included in my quote—but she said it wasn't. I had spoken to the clinic to clarify things and go into the surgery feeling at ease. Apparently, it hadn't been clear, or I'm not really sure what happened, but the hospital, which is separate from them, hadn't received that information. We encountered a lack of coordination between the hospital and the clinic. After waiting about two and a half hours for them to get their story straight, I finally went in for the surgery. My mother had to go to the clinic to talk to the staff to clarify everything, just in case. But with all that sorted out, I spent my day in the hospital and was absolutely wonderful. They treated me like royalty. Aside from this minor setback, everything went perfectly, as I mentioned. The amazing result of my surgery completely overshadows that unpleasant experience. I'm giving it five stars because I'm truly very happy and satisfied with the outcome and the treatment I received from the entire team. I hope there won't be another incident of miscommunication between the clinic and the hospital."
