"I had my surgery in Tijuana, MX on April 4, 2016. I have lost 50 lbs so far and doing very well. I received great treatment at the facility in Tijuana. The staff was dedicated to providing excellent service and Dr Verboonen is very kind and continues to maintain contact with me. Sherri has helped me with many questions as well. "I have been working hard towards my weight loss goal for over a month now after surgery. Dr. Verboonen and his team are really nice!!! There are some language barriers here and there, but they always provided me with care I never received before, not even in the USA. Dr. Verboonen is always encouraging me along my way of losing weight, never said a thing to discourage me!! Dr. Verboonen always helpful and thoughtful, he is like my best friend now, who's watching through my way of losing weight!!! If u want to lose weight, try Dr. Sergio Verboonen and his Obesity Good Bye Center in Tijuana!!!! I had the top surgeon working on my gastric sleeve in Tijuana. I strongly recommend it, just go and have a try!! You will receive amazing results~~~"

"May 4 2012 will forever be the worst day of my life. I was sent home with a ruptured stomach, went into the ICU in the US on 5/12/2012 and remained there for 2 1/2 months. Had a feeding tube for 3 years. Had to have a total gastrectomy in 2013 and have had to reconcile what he did to me for the past 13 years. Sheri is partially to blame because she did not give him an accurate assessment of my condition. But, he did the procedure. I lost my “life” because of them. And he NEVER REACHED OUT TO ME despite knowing that he sent me home to die."

"I'm four days out of surgery, and so far, so good!! Dr. Verboonen was super kind and repaired an unknown hernia (for a reasonable additional fee) during my gastric sleeve surgery. Dr. Verboonen and his staff were all wonderful. There was a bit of a language barrier with some of the nursers, but they were clearly kind, caring professionals that knew exactly what they were doing. My only concern was with the facility itself. My room was colder than a refrigerator, as was most of the facility. My poor night nurse was bundled up in a ski-parka with a hood most of the night. I figured maybe this in someway promoted healing, so I didn't think much of it at first. However, when I was alert enough to start walking, I wandered down to my friend's room (who also had the surgery) and her room was toasty warm. Once I realized that, I mentioned how cold it was in my room, and the amazing, wonderful, fabulous maintenance man (I wish I had gotten his name) immediately came and fixed my heating/ac unit so that it was also toasty warm in my room. The rest of the hospital seemed a bit warmer as well when I was out walking. This fabulous man also fixed my non-working TV and spoke better English than a lot of the other staff, so I was able to communicate with him to determine who to ask what questions. He gets five stars, all by himself! It also took forever for the water to get hot in my shower and the water pressure was non-existent (however, it was like that in my hotel prior to surgery as well, so I assume that's a country-wide water-conservation measure or something. The only other problem was that the toilet in the restroom attached to my room leaked water on the floor every time I flushed the toilet. I don't remember if I told the terrific maintenance man about that issue or not, but If I did, I'm certain he has it fixed by now. Overall, though, so far I'm very pleased. I'm looking forward to having great results. Although I haven't really lost any weight yet, I'm very hopeful! Afterall, it's only been four days. I'll try to do an update in a couple of months."
