"19th January 2026, close on the heels of marathon Pongal festival holidays, we were blessed to visit SIMS hospital. We were referred by a leading dermatologist Dr R Baskar, West Mambalam. Dr Baskar's college mate Dr K R Suresh Bappu was our maiden contact at SIMS. A head CT Scan was performed and the film was sent to Dr KRS. No sooner viewing the film, I heard him saying "Send this to Dr Balaji and team. Reason for visiting was that my wife Jayanthi Rajan, aged 73 years had Dumble bell shaped boils on her head at the left partition. I am running 77 and we are mutually depending on each other. Met the most qualified, able, competent and above all a Doctor with Loads of humility and young team of expert doctors. Swiftly the process was set in motion. Blood test, ECG, Echo, Chest PA view x-ray. 21st Jan reports were ready and after careful perusal, we were admitted. Surgery was performed to move a sample for Biopsy. 22nd, Biopsy report was ready and it was confirmed as Skin Adnexal Tumor. Same thing, Dr.P Balaji had suspected on 19th, during our first day consultation. Dr.PB, had summoned a stream of doctors. Oncology, Plastic Surgeon and another five doctors. Coinciding with Sri Sankata hara chathurthi, surgery was fixed and performed. As my wife was non-diabetic and no health issues, but yet, due to her she was kept at recovery room for two days. Now I will attempt to express my experience at the prestigious SIMs. Services were next to excellent. My place of living is Virugambakkam. As the hospital is located at a centrally convenient location, auto commuting was seamless. I have been watching with satisfaction the ably trained experts at all places. I will be failing in my effort if I had not expressed the humility of Dr P Balaji and team.
