"I would like to bring to your attention that during my spouse's hospitalization at Block 7, Ward 78, Room 25, Class B, from 19 October to 22 October 2025, we noticed inconsistent visitor policies being applied. The patient B, opposite my spouse's bed had 4-6 visitors including their children below 12 years old per visit, whereas the other patients, including my spouse, were only allowed 2 visitors per visit. After transferring to Room 30 on the afternoon of 22 October 2025, my 2 children alongside my 80 years old mil wanted to visit my spouse on 23 October 2025 which was between 3 to 4pm+. We were told by the concierge staff on duty at Blk 7 that we were unable to enter as my spouse already had 2 visitors, so we had to wait on Level 1 The two female concierge on duty instructed me to go to Level 8 to inform the ward nurse to allow my three family members to visit my spouse. However, there was a disagreement because the ward nurse, Anita, seemed to struggle to understand when I clearly explained that the patient B in Room 25, Ward B had been allowed up to 4-6 visitors. Hence, Anita, on the pretext said she allowed my 3 family members to visit my spouse since it is Ward A. Prior to this fiasco, the ward nurse on the advice of the same female concierge on duty had to ask my spouse's 2 existing visitors to leave to make way for my 3 family members to visit. To make matters worse, the two visitors were my spouse's direct boss and subordinate which made the entire situation extremely awkward. After the visitors left, my son and mil entered the gantry. However, my daughter was denied entry, so I had to walk back to the concierge. The female concierge then had to access the system to grant my daughter's entry. That was when I personally witnessed the concierge had the authority to grant entry access for visitors especially given that patient B had been allowed up to 6 visitors. This incident clearly underscored significant inconsistencies, unprofessional conduct and apparent bias from the concierge staff on duty in the afternoon on 23 October 2025 at Blk 7"

"A month ago, I saw a gastroenterologist and was referred for a CT scan and a scope. For some reason, the appointments were scheduled at KKH. I’m currently unwell, and I also don’t want to travel that far to KKH when SGH is only about 1 km from my home. I also need to change my scope appointment because you stated that I need a companion for the scope, and the scheduled date happens to coincide with my wife’s surgery. So I need to amend the appointment. I called KKH, but they had no idea how to help. I emailed SGH, but there was no response. I resent at least 2–3 emails for each request, and nothing helped. Your system states “4 working days to reply,” but nobody is calling back. After many exchanges with different people who called me and said they were not in charge or that it was not their department, I finally managed to amend the CT scan. As for my scope, it is still pending with no reply. I also received a missed call. When I called back, there was no person—only an automated system that wasted my time and told me to submit another request again. Based on the number of attempts and the lack of response, the probability of getting a reply within the promised timeframe feels like less than 20%. This factory-style, “humanless” process is failing patients badly. Please conduct an audit and run a proper end-to-end test with real staff, track the response timelines, and see how broken this system is. Your “Contact Us” pages are also not helpful. I followed the links and helplines, but every callback led to someone telling me it wasn’t under their control or department. The system is broken."

"Seeing doctor (15 Feb, Sun) at A&E Consultation Zone E was fast, I thought I have to wait for 3 hrs as shown on tv screen. Managed to see doctor within 45 mins and waited blood test result to come out took another 50 mins. I was expecting to meet doctor again at Room E11 to explain the abnormal blood test result but didnt meet her. Instead, another staff called out my name, was given referral letter and referred to SOC/CDLD SGH COLORECTAL SURGERY & given 2 days MC and told can go home. I didn't expect I will be given MC because I never request for MC actually."

"The attitude of the emergency staff was extremely poor! I just wanted to inform them that my mother was going to the restroom, but a man wearing glasses warned me that this was the last warning! I honestly don’t know what rule I supposedly violated. I sincerely hope that we can be treated with respect! Please improve the professionalism and quality of the staff!"
