"There is a common perception that General Surgery departments are often toxic or ego-driven. However, our experience with the General Surgery Department, Udayar block at SRMC Hospital was completely the opposite. I truly believe the saying, “Mannan evvazhiyo, makkal avvazhi” — the team reflects its leader. Senior General Surgeon Dr. Raja Senthil is incredibly down-to-earth, compassionate, practical, patient, and kind. Despite our anxious and repeated queries during a very critical situation, he handled everything with calmness and reassurance. My mother was admitted in an emergency condition for a laparotomy complication caused by improper treatment in our native place. We were extremely worried as her condition became critical, with further complications including severe respiratory issues. During more than 20 days of hospitalization, the care and dedication shown by the entire team exceeded all our expectations. Special appreciation to the PG doctors — Dr. Satvik, Dr. Murugan, and Dr. Mogith — for their continuous support, attention, and comforting approach throughout the treatment journey. A heartfelt thanks to the staff nurses as well, who were exceptionally kind, caring, and supportive. The hospital administration, facilities, and overall coordination were also highly commendable. Today, my mother has recovered well and is back to normal life.
