"Grace’s thomson tour was very pleasant. She was very engaging and eager to bring us around the facility. She has in-depth knowledge and was able to answer to all queries throughout the tour. Her engagement with the group and positive attitude influence us to choose Thomson for our newborn."

"I had a major operation at Thomson Medical Centre recently and encountered nothing but empathy, care, and compassion from the nursing team and the staff at the ward I met. 10/10 for nursing team and staff at Level 6 wards. What’s lacking in warmth in this hospital is the admin team from admin, discharge to billing. The wait at the admin counter was a little long and probably it was 6ish am in the morning, the reception staff were not too welcoming. In fact, they look like we were inconveniencing them. The scene changed once I was escorted to my room (Room 628) by another staff using the patient-only lift. The nurse who checked my vitals was so gentle and kind. Sensing that I was nervous, she had to take my blood pressure 3 times as it was too high, she kept talking to me to calm me down. After changing into the purple gown, I had a few quiet moments with my husband to explore the ward before the OT nurse arrived for verification and wheeled me down. My husband was allowed to accompany me to the lift, which was a small gesture that meant a lot. At the waiting area, Nurse Angelique was absolutely lovely. She promised me a heated blanket, which brought so much comfort. Every now and then, a nurse would pop by just to check on me, and that made me feel safe and cared for. Inside the OT, I met my anaesthetist, Dr Serene Leo. She is a gem who listened to my concerns and managed my pain so well that I was practically pain-free after the surgery. The whole OT team worked swiftly and professionally, yet they made time for small acts of kindness. One nurse put on the calf squeezers with a big smile, another helped me with the oxygen mask, and before I knew it, my surgeon was waking me up. The operation turned out to be more complex than expected, and I needed a blood transfusion. When a nurse had trouble finding my vein, she immediately called for Sister Vasantha, the “butterfly expert.” Sister Vasantha was amazing; she’s one of the highlights of my stay. She took four tubes of blood, and I barely felt a thing. She even came back the next day for another blood test, keeping her promise and once again making it painless. Throughout my stay, the nursing team was wonderful. When I got whiny about the pain, they apologised even though it was not their fault, gently reminding me that I was allowed to feel that way as a patient. I felt genuinely cared for and never once dismissed. Even the ladies who served food were cheerful and warm. Their smiles and chirpy greetings brightened my day, and I loved the red dates tea. On discharge day, Nurse Chequitita helped me with all the checkout arrangements. She was so patient and thoughtful, making sure I was completely comfortable before I left. All in all, my experience at TMC with the nurses and ward staff was filled with kindness and humanity at every step. I went in anxious but came out deeply grateful, not just for the successful operation, but for the compassion shown by every staff member I met. 1 ⭐ for the Patient Services Centre Negative experience. P/S: one big negative point with TMC is the Patient Officer team dealing with the bills and processing. That can be improved. Almost 2 weeks after discharge, they have not done the e-filing for insurance claims! When I called, the person on the phone, Ramsey, was rather dismissive and said that they will e-file it in the next few days and confirmed that it was not done yet. Which was quite appalling for my insurance agent to hear as it would be almost 2 weeks past my discharge."

"Thomson medical has a good reputation. After I experienced it myself with a surgery there, I totally agreed. I was push to L11 waiting outside the ops room, every assistant who pass by me was very caring and checking me out am I ok or need any help! I felt less scared. The nurses at the premier wards were friendly, cute and on the ball I would say. They often checking me out and drop by less than a minute when I needed assistant. I felt their passion with their work. Next is their food. By browsing at the menu, i am looking forward for every meal to be served. Most of the food was so yummy but I do not have much appetite but it really helps for a patient to consume some food. Btw my family encounter temperamental nurses at 2 bedded ward. I would not give such a high rating if I am under their care."

"Fantastic maternity tour experience. Our guide, Nurse Grace, was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient with all our questions. She made everything easy to understand and helped us feel calm and confident as first-time parents. The tour felt personal and reassuring rather than overwhelming. We left feeling excited and safe about delivering here. Truly grateful for such a caring and professional guide. Highly recommend."
