"Just get out of there! Even on the phone, you're greeted rudely and snappily; it seems the staff at the switchboard are completely miserable and take it out on the callers! Find a new job! I was referred by a doctor, but the woman on the phone thought she knew better! She tried to convince me that the doctor with a PhD was wrong!... and then, to top it all off, she just cut me off during the call! Can't you get better staff? You're in healthcare! Don't waste your time; thankfully, Berlin is big! Go somewhere else if you actually want help!"

"Very rude staff at the service center. I had to hand over a letter with a receipt, to which the lady replied, "We don't accept letters. There are mailboxes outside. Are you even vaccinated?" Totally rude and arrogant. They need to work on their tone!"

"Edit Jan 25: Continuing education required for PAs is no longer paid for—yeah, that's the 'future'—consequence: you're only allowed to attend internal training courses. Those that advance you professionally! What we're actually committed to and are mandatory, and would be useful, you can now pay for yourself—great! We get soooo much salary... By the way, base salary! Specialist in the operating room (OR) with 20 years of professional experience—not even €2,500, employee has all available training (e.g., PA, etc.). The end of the pay scale has already been reached—with no prospect of appreciation in any respect. Edit Dec 24: Still a very rigid company—equal work, equal pay (OR) only applies at some locations, well, (the same applies to free water & food for employees). Dedicated employees who want to help departments at other locations - nope, "no need." They'd rather buy leases (a large portion of the workforce), and then they wonder why they can't build a permanent staff (for over six years now). At another location, 11 colleagues resigned (one department!). First of all, respect for that - it couldn't be clearer that employees aren't truly valued. By the way, on Christmas Day, of course, there's no food, etc., for those who work up to 24 hours... a look at Buch Helios, for example, shows how it could work... here it remains at "could." Sometimes, as an employee, you get really desperate - you're not being listened to - of course, a department is occasionally visited for publicity... but that's it... a real shame... One star for the administration to even be "there." Otherwise, it's far, far below industry standards, which is more than embarrassing for such a large company. Contact by phone is almost impossible (waiting times of at least 1.5 hours, i.e., almost impossible to reach during working hours or even on vacation). Inquiries regarding salary/sick leave, etc., are dismissed with "that's the program, I can't say anything about that... bye." Quick follow-up inquiries are therefore not possible, and this also applies to emails; there are no replies. As is common practice in the industry, there are no employee "consultation hours" for salary questions (on-call duties/overtime/reductions, etc.), parental leave questions, etc. - since, as mentioned above, it's very, very difficult to get through by phone, one can only hope to have a well-informed group leader who will try to help. For a company like this, which should actually be forward-looking (at least that's what the media advertising suggests), this is a disgrace. Why does this work for everything from large university hospitals to leasing companies? The management would rather continue to ask themselves, 'Why doesn't anyone want to work at Vivantes...' - this is another reason why they'd rather keep looking around, the choices are there! Btw - something current - Vivantes doesn't understand at all why we want to strike soon... Collective wage increase? Not their responsibility! (Only higher salary brackets should be considered!) - besides, there's no shortage of skilled workers at Vivantes... (Okay, according to various online job portals, there are only over 500 open positions; Dr. Danckert regretfully discussed this fact publicly in a podcast...) Employer 'of the future' - not - they're not proud to work there, which should give us something to think about. It's a shame, if we wanted to, we could set up something big and groundbreaking with the Charité... so we're just wondering where else we should apply first (preferably out of nursing)! An update... now that a few months have passed - still no response to my email from December '22. Calls regarding salary questions (€300 net shortfall, e.g., paid for services) end up in a never-ending queue, or Ms. P. isn't available right now/not here/the computer is doing it... Yep, it's working, btw, I'm not the only one. A colleague did get through, though, after asking to be put through to her supervisor... then suddenly there was time."

"Others may have had bad experiences, but I would never judge an entire company based on that. So far, my employer has always been supportive and responded kindly to my inquiries. I can't imagine a bad experience in my 14 years here. The location of the headquarters might be inconvenient, but that's okay, you don't have to go there often ;-)"

"Called a reception to find out about the check-up programs (3 June, 01:06pm) and the reception lady was extremely rude, she was even shouting. Very unprofessional"
