"As a tourist in Prague, I had a health issue. I tried to avoid going to the doctor in a different country with a language barrier, especially after the reviews here, but I couldn't postpone it. However, I received excellent treatment on a Friday afternoon from Dr. Mirchi and his team. They were kind and showed genuine concern for my condition, performed several tests, and referred me for more tests on Monday. English wasn't our first language, but everyone made an effort, and we used Google Translate as a last resort. I'm very grateful. Congratulations."

"I recently had gynaecological surgery here, and after reading some of the reviews beforehand, I was quite apprehensive. Even the taxi driver on the way mentioned that the hospital looked a bit run-down, but honestly, coming from England, it didn’t look any worse than some NHS hospitals. At first, we struggled to find where we needed to be and accidentally went to the main surgical building. The staff we encountered there were quite rude, and we almost walked out. Thankfully, once we found the correct gynaecology building, everything changed. The pre-operative checks were extremely thorough — far more so than what I experienced with a similar surgery under the NHS. Before the operation, I was shown to my private room to wait, which was reassuring. When it was time for surgery, I was taken down by a very kind porter who spoke a little English. His kindness really stayed with me. After the operation, I woke up in recovery and met another wonderful nurse whose English was excellent and who made me feel very safe and cared for. We found alot of the younger nurses spoke English , but if the nurse didn’t speak English we communicated through google translate easily. The nurse that looked after me straight after surge once back on the ward didn’t speak English , but spoke with me through google translate and was very kind. I had almost no pain afterward — I think I only received IV paracetamol — and my recovery was incredible. Two days after surgery I was able to walk around Prague, and compared to my previous NHS experience where I was unwell for a month, this was a world of difference. I was even back at work a week and a half later. Overall, I would definitely recommend having gynaecological surgery here. My experience was extremely positive and the standard of care exceeded my expectations. I would come back if I needed another gynae related operation."

"I had surgery here recently and I can only express my deepest gratitude. The doctors and nurses were exceptionally kind, attentive and professional. My surgeon did a fantastic job and quite literally prevented the situation from becoming much more serious. Even though I don't speak Czech, I was treated with constant kindness and patience. Everyone made a real effort to explain everything clearly in English, which meant a lot to me. The nurses were incredibly dedicated — always available, tireless and offering not only physical care but genuine emotional support. You could truly lean on them, in every sense. I felt the same level of care and thoroughness from the physiotherapist as well. I have nothing but positive things to say about every person who took care of me. The hospital itself is clean and well-maintained; the rooms, the showers and restrooms were hygienic and orderly. I am extremely satisfied and sincerely thankful for everything."

"Hey beautiful people 😊! So I have to tell you what happened yesterday because I'm still kind of in shock about how well everything went. I dislocated my shoulder and had to go to the hospital here in Czech Republic, and honestly I was a bit nervous since I'm from Botswana and wasn't sure how it would all work with my work permit and insurance. But wow, from the second I got to the emergency unit they just took care of everything. They did an X-ray right away, then a CT scan, and the doctor was calling in specialists left ,right and center , the bone specialist (orthopedic surgeon I think?) and the neurologist. I was in so much pain but somehow I felt calm because everyone knew exactly what they were doing and they mostly speak English with me which was such a relief as my Czech is still on baby language. Can I just say, the hospital was SO clean. Like I kept seeing cleaning staff coming through every few minutes with their clinical bags, but it didn't have that harsh chemical smell you usually get in hospitals. I've been to another hospital here two months ago so I've seen this twice now and both times I was really impressefore ed. And get this , I didn't pay a single thing. My insurance covered everything. Plus here you can choose your own private doctor to see regularly and insurance covers that too(but of course they will not cover your cosmetic surgery 😊). Everything is digital, they have this system that even connects to your employer so they can see your sick leave days and medical info when needed. Coming from home where our healthcare system is dealing with so many resource challenges, this really opened my eyes to what's possible when the infrastructure and funding are there. We have amazing healthcare workers in Botswana too, it's just the systems and resources are lacking . Oh and here's something wild I learned ,maternity leave here is 3 YEARS. Three years! And you get paid during that time, though at half salary. Can you imagine? The support families get here is just on another level. Anyway, just had to share because I'm genuinely grateful for the care I got and feeling pretty lucky to have access to this while I'm working here. Hope my shoulder heals up soon! 🙏"
